Well, I'm ssssoooo worried about whether that guy likes us or not...and I pretty much feel the same way about our other international critics. It's like dealing with bullies in school. You don't particularly care if they like you or not, you just want them to respect you enough to leave you alone and perhaps help protect your weaker friends from them as well.
Per your later comment: I suppose you are trying to tell me that the Taliban and Hussein were just minding their own business until the big bad USA came along. Come on. Don't try to rewrite history to make a point.
A bully doesn't have to be pounding you specifically. If he's pounding on others around him...guess what he's still a bully.

America used to be a place that people from all over the world had a dream of coming to. It was a place where when people heard a ship was taking ppl to America, that ship would be full by every inch.
however, as time has gone by, america has become more and more hated, especially now. The war in iraq is probably one of the main cuases. Also, president Bush.. He just wants to bug in everyone's buisiness. It's as if he tries to get into every foriegn affair as he can.
anyways, since the war in iraq, i think ppl have hated america more and more. even americans are getting weary. However, hopefully America can improve, and people will like out nation again.

Who told you the US has ever being liked? Of course, small elites around the world professed their love for the US but the reality is the US has messed around the globe ever since the founding fathers thought of themselves as God sent emissaries to spread the light of salvation to the savages out there.

We are liked when they need our money. We are liked when they need our solders to die to free them. They like us when they have a natural disaster and they want our help. They like us when they are sick and need our medicine. Other than that, they are thankless, mean spirited, jealous ingrates who do not deserve our compassion. We will, of course, continue to help despite the incredible lack of gratitude.
It's ironic, though, that despite the hatred, they all want to come to America.
Norway, New Zealand and Canada are better than America? These are fine countries, I agee, but why isn't the world beating a path to get into these countries?

No. If you travel to Europe, you'll find that people are tiring of our warlike, we're # 1, we're the best attitude. People like to be proud of their own countries. The US is not the best country in the world. It doesn't begin to take care of its people like Norway, New Zealand and Canada do.
America needs to take care of its own problems like, infrastructure, health, poverty and education before it criticizes other countries who are doing better jobs.

typical Liberal, also worried about what other people think, i could care less what any other country or people think of us..Most people have a true sense of right and wrong, with liberals it's a consensus.Waiting with baited breathe to see what the world community thinks.. Our country acts in the interest of its citizens..
if the "world community" agrees with that than great, if not WHO CARES....I won't loose a minute of sleep wondering what the French or any other country think.....
