IT is the same old problem of what is in the best intrests of the people and with our military stretched so thin we will escalate to the point where nukes are in play as a method of ending a conflict .IT has been so long people have forgoten the power released and the damage done .PLUS with the shows on t.v. wiping out hole planets is not out of the question.
THE questions will be at what point and how many american live's must be lost to attain victory before we use an atomic device.
this is our ace in the hole and has been for a long time .Ithink once the third one goes of in war time all bets are off and the nations that have them will use them.

The main question I would ask is: would it have been better for the allies to invade Japan and fight them in the streets until Tokyo at the cost of millions of lives, both military and civilian? The Japanese were not known for their willingness to surrender. The atomic bomb was horrible and the devestation it wrought unimaginable, but the alternative might have been even worse.

The shift key on your keyboard can be used to capitalize a word. Why is it so difficult for you and others to use the proper keys? Is it a lazy issue? iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Don't be baseful now, that key will not set off the bomb! I promise.

Research Truman's decision process during WW II. There are no cogent military arguments that can be made AGAINST the use of nuclear weapons when the threat is great enough.

If they hadn't dropped the bomb, it would have blown up in the plane.
