On that morning the sky was a brilliant blue. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun was bright and blinding. It was a beautiful morning until 8:46 am.

For about a year after that day I became somewhat suspicious (for lack of a better word) whenever a beautiful day with no cloud came around.

Thank God I got over it, but I still think about that sometimes, when the day is gorgeous.

Knowing that the billions of dollars we pay in taxes would actually help your fellow country men & women who are loosing their homes wether it was the lending agencies faullt for making such shady risky deals, or unwise decissions and buying practices of the consumers? (or) do you believe that both parties should suffer, who bails you out when you make a bad choice? and NO! I have no unpaid bills or debts so the question is not about me. I just can't stand to watch good people loose everything, and myself would not mind watching the fed help my fellow man, this country would spend $1,000,000,00 to ship a bobby pin two blocks away. and yet their are arguments to help the common tax payers. So how much would you mind this happening???

You can see how well this coujntry will care for its own, when they will bail out foreign owned finacial institutions, rebuild other countries, and even give foreigners entering our country more benefits than they do it;s own tax paying citizens, and they get the money from you and me every payday. are we that selfish of a nation?

With corruption, violence, and war, does our government need reform? Being left-wing, I think the checks and balances system needs to be enforced. There are many reforms that could be made.

I heard today there's a family in California who had a son killed in Iraq a few days ago. They also had another son killed in Iraq in 2004. They had three sons. Now there is only one left.

Questions for Bush supporters:

What did their two sons die for? (please DON'T give us the "freedom and democracy" or "fighting terrorism" or "liberating Iraq" shpiel--those of us who live in the real world are tired of hearing that propaganda).

What would you tell their parents (whose lives have now been ruined) if you were able to talk to them?

If you are one of the small minority of people in the U.S. who still supports this war, how do you sleep at night?

Criticized by U.S., Maliki says Iraq can find other friends
By Chris Collins | McClatchy Newspapers
Posted on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 email | print tool

BAGHDAD — Firing back in an escalating war of words, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki on Wednesday chided U.S. officials for expressing impatience with the Iraqi government's failure to unite divided political factions and said Iraq would find other friends if the United States was disenchanted.

"These statements do not concern us a lot," Maliki said to reporters while he was visiting Syria. "We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."
