You can see how well this coujntry will care for its own, when they will bail out foreign owned finacial institutions, rebuild other countries, and even give foreigners entering our country more benefits than they do it;s own tax paying citizens, and they get the money from you and me every payday. are we that selfish of a nation?

No, the fed should start helping us individuals who are paying extremely high interest rates, extremely high taxes. Something tells me the banks can take care of themselves. Don't think I've ever seen a banker drive his Mercedes from his second vacation home to the unemployment line

What do you want "the government" to do for you?

You want "free" healthcare?

You want "free" student aid?

You want "free" groceries?

Now go back up to that top line and replace the word "government" with the word "taxpayers".
Next, substitute again with words like "your neighbors", "your friends", and "your family".

Now ask yourself why in the world you should have the right to make them pay for things that should be your own responsibility?

Businesses and banks EMPLOY people. If they take a hit, so does everybody else. The government rightfully feels that an investment in keeping an employer going is preferable to paying for all those unemployment benefits welfare payments, and medicaid, just to name a few.

Personally, I would rather bail out the banks, then the airlines. We all know what would happen to us if the bank system fails. If an airline goes out of business. we fly another airline. If the banks fail, we're heading into another depression. This would be unacceptable because, as you pointed out, the world (which hates us) expect us to pay for everything they need.

No. The fed should point out that we need laws against the stuff that banks do so they can't prey on innocent victims.
