I doubt it. I can't imagine health being of that much concern to any American politician, but maybe someday when the old America dies off and the new America rises.

government officials always vote for a pay increase. cost of living goes up but minimum wage stays the same. I find the government is really slow to act to increase the minimum wage. it seems so obvious that the minimum wage needs to be increased. maybe high income earner's don't really really care how hard it is for low income earner's to make ends meet? how's $10.00 US?

An Illinois dental professor says that it's Bush's fault that students are cheating on their dental exams! The reasoning? (does it matter) According to this genius, since Bush lied about WMD , students feel cheating is acceptable. What do you think he will conspire to do next? Cause cashiers at 7-11 to overcharge me for my slurpy? Isn't this "it's all Bush's fault" sounding the least bit MORONIC to even those who hate him? C'mon!

I just read an answer to a question "What presidental candidate scares you the most?" (or something like that) and some guy said that any of the republicans who believe in evolution scare him.

My question, I can understand how things like abortion and gay marriage could be important to people. But how is someone believing in evolution disqualify them for the Presidency? I mean, really, what does it matter? Nobodys going to make a law saying that everyone has to believe in evolution, so why is this even an issue?

I just found this and the global warming church seems to fit very well.... (it's in politics because it ISN'T SCIENCE!)

. Every cult can be defined as a group having all of the following five characteristics:

(1) It uses psychological coercion to recruit, indoctrinate & retain its members.

(2) It forms an elitist totalitarian society.

It is official policy to label anyone who disagrees with the practices of or questions the validity as a “Suppressive Person”. The policy also requires members to “disconnect” from them.

(3) Its founder leader is self-appointed, dogmatic,

Our government doesn't seem to have the funds to take care of our wounded. These servicemen/women are laying their lives on the line for us. Many are coming home with permanent disabilities. How much are you willing to do for them? Would you pass on Starbucks in order to buy a wheelchair for your neighbors son/daughter? Or pay for their meds for the rest of their lives? Will you forget about them?

You know... 4 or 5 years has passed, it's election time, people are excited, and some people take election to the very heart, to the point that you can't even go some places with a certain color shirt resembling an opposing party. Anyone know of places where this type thing causes violence? Do you know of any situations where politics caused some form of violence, and can you share any stories you may have?

does that mean that the 1st Amendment freedom of the press is also outdated and should apply only to the print media, or that the freedom of speech should only apply to actual speech and not the internet? Or perhaps that the 4th Amendment protection from search and seizure should only apply to your physical domicile and possessions, not your electronic and wire communications?

Bush seeks compromise on Iraq benchmarks:

Bush's willingness to put benchmarks in a war-funding bill represented a shift by the president.

"One message I have heard from people of both parties is that benchmarks make sense and I agree," Bush said. He said his chief of staff, Joshua Bolten, would talk with congressional leaders "to find common ground" on benchmarks.

Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) introduced his National Language Act (S.1335) in the Senate. Senator Inhofe's legislation is virtually identical to Congressman Peter King's National Language Act (H.R.769). Senator Inhofe's legislation is also virtually identical to his original "English First" amendment to the immigration bill, which passed on May 18, 2006, by a vote of 63-34. The major difference between the bill and the amendment is that the Inhofe amendment did not address the foreign language ballot issue. The Inhofe legislation, if passed, would specifically ban foreign language ballots.

Both the Inhofe amendment and the Inhofe bill would repeal Clinton Executive Order 13166, which requires all recipients of federal funds to function in any language anyone speaks at any time. The Inhofe legislation, if passed and signed into law, would also put an end to the lawsuit by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against the Salvation Army.

After all, it is what the terrorist want, and we will end up with another country that is bent on Israel and American destruction.
Also, it appears that our democratically controlled congress is helping the terrorist and hurting our troops by not giving them the funds that they need in order to stop the terrorist and help the new Iraqi government succeed. This shows how the democrats are anti-democracy in their ideals I believe. How can any body support them?
