I have been wondering if any of you out there can explain to me why the democratic runners in Thursdays debate could only talk about the war, IE: everything contrary to present, yet they had nothing to say about changing the Great economy and low unemployment rate; furthermore, have any of you seen the Dow. Over 13,000. Prosperous times like these NEVER happened under a democrat. So, to my original question. Please educate me on the fact that the candidates had nothing to say about that, and are more concerned about raising the white flag and giving terrorist a clear victory, which would put our country in great danger.

Thanks.

Just curious

My state, NH, voted today to raise the minimum wage to $6.50 on Sept. 1 and to $7.25 the following Sept. 1. The US has not raised the minimum wage since 1997 and the "real value" of minimum wage is now at it's lowest point since 1957. Since the last minimum wage hike, if the minimum wage had been indexed to the rate of inflation, an estimated 7 million workers now earning the minimum wage would be receiving $9.05 an hour. Thoughts?

I think the terrorists are just laughing at the coalition and having a field day because they know they are going to win.

"Minimum wage laws are good for young and unskilled workers. (True/false?)

The male/female "wage gap" results from "gender discrimination," not genuine economic considerations (True/false?)

Higher tax rates results in higher government revenues. (True/false?)

Capitalism was the cause of the Great Depression, and FDR's New Deal cured it. (True/false?)

Rent control makes more affordable housing available to the poor. (True/false?)

If you answered "false" to at least three of those questions, then to liberals, you're a 'capitalist pig'."

With discovery of a potentially inhabitable planet 20,000 light years away, plus everyone making plans to reach Mars first, is a space race for the next inhabitable planet apt to lead to warfare? Yes, ideally there should be a single, UN-type space agency, but given their ineffectiveness in resolving problems here on earth, what hope is there for a working agreement between nations of earth in outer space? Given the failure of probes, will nations sacrifice lives just to plant their flags first? I know it sounds crazy, but most of those feeding theories that teh USA never made it to the moon, are the envious nations that never got there themselves. I'm saying space should be a joint HUMAN venture, non-military, and non-agression between groups in space, most importantly, ban the import of materials from foreign planets to earth, which is why a lunar colony to quarrantine and analyze specimens, to prevent contamination of earth, should be the first priority.

Do you understand that the vast majority of Iraqi people do not want secular bloodshed?

Do you not understand that the extremists have a better chance of taking over the country, if they divide the people in Iraq against one another? Do you think most Iraqi's are extremists, who want that?

Why do liberals think that all Iraqi's are extremist animals, and are incapable of wanting to live in freedom?

A. I’m grateful to their service to this country. If I ever see a returned soldier who is hungry or homeless, I’ll help him/her with everything I have because he/she has made it possible for me to live safe and free.
B. I support the troops as long as they keep fighting and making me money with my Defense and Oil stocks and my government contracts. Upon return, they can go back on the welfare like 30% of their buddies from the previous wars.
C. ??????
