Jude Law, not Owen Wilson was in Enemy at the Gates.

The movie was set durring the Great Patriotic War (known to capitalist hyenas as WWII), specifically the Seige of Stalingrad. The losses suffered by the Red Army, not to mention civilian casualties were apalling, but it couldn't be termed genocide.

The war was inititiated by the Nazis, in the hopes of conquering the Eurpoean territories of the Soviety Union. As far as the Soviet PoV of 'Enemy at the Gates' is concerned, that was the whole reason for the war.
