History is full of examples that cooroborate your statement; just look at the history of the continent of Africa. Prior to being granted their independence, most nations were colonies or protectorates of larger European nations, who mainly were interested in the resources of that country. In its colonial days, Great Britain was (in)famous for such.
"Take up the white mans burden
the savage wars of peace
fill full the mouth of famine
and bid the sickness cease
and when your goal is nearest,
the end for others sought
watch sloth and Heathen Folly
bring all your hopes to nought"-
Rudyard Kipling, excerpt from "The White Mans Burden"

I'm sure the country in question here is our country. The US has been doing this kind of thing for years. We did it in Panama, Cuba, Iraq, and I want to say we tried in North Korea (I'm not too sure about that one).

We put those people (Noriega, Castro, and Huessain) in power there in order to have control, and once they came into power, they decide to dictate the country and dissobey the US.

Our country is run by big businesses like the oil comanies. They pay people off and fund campaignes so that things stay in their favor.

Economically, coercion always works better than strong arm tactics. Strong Arms cost money to maintain. Coercion has the other country want to give you the raw materials.

"The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Our is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants.. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living."

Perhaps a recommendation. Try reading your history texts before jumping on an ill-founded band wagon. Please note the U.N. cease fire agreement that was not maintained. Then try and recall the many months of "diplomacy" to try and avert war. Do you remember the name change? French Fries became "Freedom Fries."
