I said this is for Dems because I figured they would be more likely to favor stricter gun control. (Disclaimer: I have only ever shot a gun once, so I personally don't care what my rights are to own one).

Here's my question: If guns were to be made illegal, or at least very hard to own, would guns become like illegal drugs? Would there be gangs and dealers making lots of money selling illegal guns while the government had the FBI and ATF running around trying to arrest them? It seems like if guns were illegal, they would simply become another blackmarket commodity since people looking to commit crimes would still want to own them.

how does someone on national tv get away with saying such assanine things day after day and nobody says anything about it? is it because everybody knows who she is and does not take her seriously? i sure hope so.

just listening to her retarded logic makes me sick to my stomach. she suggests that harsher gun laws could have prevented this incident but having teachers and guards armed would not? how freaking stupid can one uneducated hog be?

Do you believe that the tragedy at Virginia Tech could have been avoided if Cho's professors had done more than just refer him to on campus counseling? Based on two short plays he had written which the media has gotten a hold of, it seems obvious that he was seriously emotionally disturbed.

I have read at least 5 bush haters say that bush is responsible for the deaths of innocent people in Iraq. A couple even said "He and he alone". How did bush manage to go from Washington Dc to iraq and Afganastan, blow himself up then fly back to Washington about 10 times a day for 4 years?

And then could you also tell me, how long did it take for him to respond personally to the victims of hurricane katrina?

Is Bush's respnse perhaps in the foggy eyed wake of how important it is to prove that as a president you actually (at least to try) need to express sympathy to those who are not necessarily within the same tax bracket, yet still likely, though dim-wittedly elected him into office?

Do you believe these talking arses for the GOP contribute to all the hatred and anger that that alot of people harbor. Because they are listening to this poison on the airways 24/7 and being brainwashed into not thinking for themselves, and agreeing with everything these republican cheerleaders say..

Like banning assault type weapons? Like renewing the restriction on handgun clip size? Like requiring owner-specific trigger locks?

Each time a mass homicide like the one at VT is committed, US incurs a loss of literally MILLIONS in productivity and other costs. Isn't it time that we stepped up and held those responsible for the easy availability/ownership of assault weapons and handguns for bearing part of this cost, at least via the increased cost of safety restraints on the guns themselves?

While it may appear to be great here on Y!A...in real life...

NO REDBLOODED AMERICAN IS GOING TO LET YOU TAKE THEIR GUNS.....

You do realize that there are some people that DO NOT register their guns just to make sure that this doesn't happen...

and those that do...would rather die before they let you take them...

this is nothing more than a liberals wet dream....and IT WILL NOT HAPPEN....

It won't stop daydreaming...quit wishing...IT WON'T HAPPEN...No politician in their right mind will allow it...It would be political suicide...

History lesson for ya....do a little research on Hilter and find out how he felt about gun control.

The assailant in yesteday's rampage obtained his weapon in a perfectlly legal manner, and not from black market "criminals". Would more severe gun laws be in order in this case, or should we look elsewhere to solve the problem? Can someone use a gun to kill if there are no guns available?
