The existence of corporations has played some part (and I think a very significant part) in eroding the individualism that once defined America.

We used to be a country of individuals, who valued individuals. People conducted business with other people. These were the good old days.

Now we are a nation of groups: political action committees, political parties, businesses, corporations, races. People define themselves according to what groups they belong to. Businesses do business with other businesses, and people are "employed" by businesses. This is a step in the wrong direction. Employment is halfway between freedom and slavery.

By definition, a corporation is a group of people that is, for certain legal purposes, treated like a person. Corporations can be taxed just as people can be taxed. Corporations can be held liable for misdeeds just as people can be held liable for misdeeds.

However, the people that comprise a corporation cannot be held liable for misdeeds of the corporation. And here is one of the main problems. The law allows the individual to escape culpability for his actions if he hides under the umbrella of "corporation." This is very unfortunate, and counter to the notion of individual responsibility.

The existence of corporations has caused a decline in individualism by reducing the individual to mere "employee" and promoting "group-ism." This is destructive to the American way of life.

Corporate America has reduced morality and ethics in value in it's greed to provide investors with profit. Under the cover of various contrivances, Corporate America seduces and exploits the populace on all levels of society. The blame isn't entirely to be placed on corporate scheming and skulduggery for the individual superficial consumer stands just as guilty for without demand there would be no supply. Consumerism is on a parallel with drug addiction and the more you have the more we want.

I think some are and some are not. Some corporations are form to provide services or product to genuinely help people and get remunerated for it. Fair trade. Some just use any kind of deceiving tricks to make you use their products or services with the intention to get your money and acquire power. Sort of like the guy on the street with the three deck cards.

True and False.

Without corporations the unemployment rate will be high since the population is increasing.
However, with corporations we are slaving for fiat currency that is not backed by gold thus making us more dependent on a monetary system based on debt.

Corporations are destroying our way of life by providing jobs, tax revenues and prosperity. If America could just be like Cuba or Venezuela (is there really a difference between those two countries?), everything would be wonderful.
