He wasn't driving so he should not get a ticket for that.
I agree about trying to get in the news at Rutgers. He didn't belong there, he was just trying to get in the spotlight. Well he got in the spotlight alright. (Watch what you wish for Guv'nor)

I used to feel the same way you did. I drive a truck for a living. A few years ago one of the drivers working for the same company I do, hit the guardrail on I 81 in West Virginia. No one knows if he fell asleep, or what happened. He was not wearing a seat belt. The impact with the guard rail knocked him out of the drivers seat. At this point, he was sitting on the floor. The truck had no driver, it crossed medium, into oncoming traffic and struck another truck head on, killing both truck drivers. While it's not as much of a factor in a car, they don't have the roomy cabs that trucks do, but it's a factor none the less, you cannot control your vehicle if you are no longer behind the wheel. Also check your life insurance policy. I will bet anything there is a clause in there that if you are killed in a traffic accident, and you are found to not be wearing a seat belt, they won't pay. It's in mine.

Yes, he should practice what he preaches and if he did not follow the law, he should be penalized and get a ticket for not wearing his seatbelt. He can't get a speeding ticket because he was not the one driving. He is not above the law and that should be demonstrated. I disagree with you about the Imus conflab.
Rutgers is in NJ, and the governors mansion was a neutral place for the meeting. The people who made political hay out of it were the two race baiters- Al Sharpton and Jesse " New York is Hymie town" Jackson

Hadn't thought about it but, HELLS YEAH!! Well, he'd get a no seatbelt ticket as would his Trooper for allowing and the Trooper should get the speeding ticket. Either way, you know if it was any of us we'd be getting the tickets while in the hospital if not while we were still strapped to the back board getting loaded into the ambulance (true story)

He was not driving, but the driver sure deserves one. The governor should get a ticket for no seat belt. What the hell was the all fired hurry? This was no state emergency, it sounds like an ego was out of control on this one and innocent people could have been killed.

He is a billionaire and a Democrat, the rules don't apply to him. Look up hubris in the dictionary.
The funny thing is, I'm picturing that when he gets out of the hospital, he will look like Gene Hackman in "Get Shorty" (after he was beaten by the bad guys). That will be funny.

Yes but in NewJersey the politicos are above the law, hence the Gov will not be getting a ticket.

Absolutely without a doubt. Of course he'll most likely just get a slap on the wrist and just get off with a warning. Politicians all think they are above the law.

Yes, for seat belt violation.
No, for speeding as a highway patrolman was driving.
The patrolman had his emergency lights on & thus can not be ticketed. He can be punished by his bosses for reckless driving & speeding when there was no emergency.
