As a democrat who opposed Nixon, and worked for Jimmy Carter Presidient Ford I believe was a GREAT President! Our nation needed this simple caring man in the era that he served us. Looking back all of these years, President Ford accomplished for our nation the unity that few since have seen with honest simple kindness, and compassion.
God Bless President Gerald Ford from a Buckeye Fan.

I was looking at this forum about dubai when someone talked about how the US economy is screwed.

I was wondering if the US economy really is screwed. Especially about the bond thing; if japan and china decided to collect their bonds, will the US be in trouble?

There has to be some back up plan right? I do not want to believe that the people running this government are idiots.

I would like reasonable answers with backup information, not just opinions

(Continued Question) "Death To Muslims".

Now why would people hold grudges against something they see on T.V and ignore that they themselves are doing the exact same thing only in a diffrent way?

Before the 9/11, most of the people that know about Islam today were unaware that it even existed (Despite school education).

Sadly, the 9/11 did not only cause new knowledge about Islam, but racism and false accusations.

Before the 9/11 did you know that the religon Islam even existed? What did you think of them before the 9/11?

How much has you'r opinion changed since then?

Why don't they take time to ask why is it ILLEGAL to begin with.

Like did you know...marijuana was first made illegal in 1937 by Harry Anslinger because...at the time Mexicans were the only ones that really used it and he wanted to arrest them?

The law was also passed because those that were voting against it didn't even know what they were really voting on....they just listened to what Mr. Anslinger said. (that sounds familiar..huh)

I just wish more people actually took the time to educate themselves before making such ignorant statements as..."It's illegal period". Kind of like...Daddy government said it's bad...so it is so.

At first I thought that this was kind of an extreme position, but recently Israel announced the construction of new settlements in the West Bank. If government money (and to a certain extent American tax dollars) is being used to build new settlements, will Olmert be thrown out for this kind of extreme position?

What would happen to the region, and the world, if either the U.S. or Israel were to attack Iran in order to force them to discontinue their alleged nuclear ambitions.

I read today on BBC that canada issued order to deport a russian spy that was posing as canadian carrying false papers, money in different currencies and three cell phones, and that russia finally provided the necessary papers for him to leave after deport order. Canada said that it won't hurt relations between the two countries because "it happens all the time between countries"!!!

There were no weapons of mass destruction. In my opinon, the country was in better shape with the 'Saddam Hussein' rule.
There have been a lot of major mistakes---number one sending our national guard troops in first....I would go on about the reasons we should not be there, but the Iraq people want us out, so I think we should leave. Why does America not support their own?
