Bankrolled almost entirely by taxpayers, Bush is roaming far & wide on Air Force One to help Republicans retain control of Congress and capture statehouse contests in high-stakes midterm elections.
All this to-and-fro presidential politicking is only expected to increase as November draws closer. And it is the taxpayers, not the campaigns or political parties, who foot most of the travel bill.

Shouldn't Bush be paying his own way, or at least the
REPUBLICANS paying for this yet another waste of
taxpayers money....

The Nazi's first used this tactic in order to do whatever they wanted to do and if any German challenged or questioned them they were "traitors".

Only problem is is that it's being used by the Bush administration. if anybody who questions this administration, is called a "traitor" in order to silence that person.

We will not let these guilt trip tactics silence us and our freedom of speech. And now you can see how America is fighting back at those looking to play mind games in order to silence us. Click here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuPiwm9IjiA

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

We read about all the problems with world hunger, diseases, lack of medical treatment etc. What I do not understand is why these people continue to populate. I have nothing against having children, but if one lives in a devasted area, knowing that there is no food, medicine, jobs, homes, etc, why continue to bring children to suffer? I breaks my heart to see these children hurt. Then not to mention that should they survive, they probably are taken into slavery, to fight their wars, etc.

Or has it been? I mean, that is illegal so the fact that he "got away with it" implies that he really didn't rig them and the Americans just voted for him, doesn't it? Wouldn't someone have taken action against him if he had fixed things?

I'm sorry that I don't have the source for this, but I believe that Halliburton was awarded a no-bid contract for their services in Iraq.

Why does the federal government allow no-bid contracts and should they be continued?

Is there any advantage to allowing a no-bid contract? If so, how does it help the American people by allowing a no-bid contract?

I'll give the ten points to the best answer which gives a valid reason why we should continue allowing no-bid contracts.

(For those who don't know what a no-bid contract is, I believe it is when the government a contract to an individual or group/company without considering competitive bids).

Then that way there would be no more drafts or terminations towards deathrow inmates. And if they survive and come back they can earn there freedom again. Wouldn't that be a good idea?

When we do will you ask us to help the starving in Africa (we won't), another Bosnia, Let Europe handle their own mess. Do you think this is fair, I do. You get rid of us and we get all the leeches out of our tax dollars. Oh and BTW, next Tsunami,. don't bother calling us, okay.

Whatever the original purpose of Interest was, all I see it doing now is corrupting the lives of people. Most people aren't in debt because they can't pay back the actual loans in full, but because this interest adds an insurmountable burden.

Now, I'm sure there is a whole justification for the system, but you can't deny that it is incredibly flawed. There are even some religions that prohibit interest, and with good reason, in my opinon.
