I have a theory that he wants to be remembered for his successes in Iraq and that he's been playing this thing out as long as possible so it will seem like he was a successful president when history decides.

About 12 -14 weeks ago, lottery officals stopped using the random ball selector and started to use THEIR computers to select the winning numbers. Since that time, if you check past winning tickets for the last year, you will find the $2 to $20 winners have increased, but the larger payouts have been reduced around 30%.
Information leaked that out that only .45 cents of EVERY dollar is applied to the lottery payouts and .55 cents is for administerative costs. Lottery officals have stated, "If you don't like it, don't play". Wow. Have we created a monster or what?

Does this bother anyone else, or are we so used to being screwed we are numb to the financial rape the working class sustains by the city and state governments?

Their supporters hate each other's politician -- but at least on a very public front, George Sr. & Jr., Hillary, Bill, and the rest of the brood have been chummy. Are there some mutually beneficial politicking going on between them, or just tactful tolerance?

Anyways, this time I will finally get to what my question actually is because I had a little trouble doing it last time. Trouble, trouble on the double! Naughty Kerner-Odgis, too much pulling and pushing can hurt your thighs. It was the worst of times, it was the worst of times, and a little later the best of times became the worst of times and the times were worst than the best. Why not be a fish. For I think, therefore I am not but might be but I don't know what is happening. The solution to this problem lies soley in your shoe soles. I don't want to go to California! All that ends well ends weller. Kerner-Odgis would be very unproud of all this unpropper grammar. The wheels on the bus go PUSH!!! You can do it. Oh man. Holy hillbillies. Man oh man I need a pan. Okay now my questio

Scholars around the world concur that a fundamental lesson of the twenty-first century is that democracies cannot coexist indefinitely with powerful and ambitious totalitarian regimes. Sooner or later the competing goals and ideologies bring conflict until one or the other side prevails.

To understand that statement you need to know what the definitions of democracy and totalitarian regime are.

Democracy- government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

Totalitarian Regime- (regime) a government in power- (totalitarian) exercising control over the freedom, will, or thought of others.

If you are a member of the Democracy, how far are you willing to go, what are you willing to sacrifice to protect that Democracy from Totalitarianism?

The day after the fire, Hitler persuaded President Hindenburg to issue a decree entitled, “For the Protection of the People and the State.” Justified as a “defensive measure against Communist acts of violence endangering the state,” the decree suspended the constitutional guarantees pertaining to civil liberties:

Restrictions on personal liberty, on the right of free expression of opinion, including freedom of the press; on the rights of assembly and association; and violations of the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications; and warrants for house searches, orders for confiscations as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed.

I have a small pocket book called POWER which suggests that if you have an enemy you go to battle with and you do not kill that enemy completely, you will lose eventually. For in your persecution of your enemy, you create motivation and eventual destruction of yourself. You are best not to create such enemies.

Revenge is one of the worlds greatest motivators, rightly or wrongly!
