Anybody paying any real attention already knows these things.

Unfortunately, the majority of Americans have become couch-potatoes. It's EASIER to believe the political propaganda...less work...no investigating, no action needed.

Most Americans also fail to acknowledge that the American news agencies are primarily owned by mega-coprporate conglomerates that have a political/financial agenda all their own...and are therefore biased and misleading, choosing what to report, what not to, and how to report it...what spin to put on it.

We also have this growing trend of people here mistaking their beliefs for facts. They insist something is true simpy because it agrees with their belief, regardless of it's basis in supported reality. They listen only to news that agrees with their views, in ways that affirm their beliefs. They believe that because it supports their view, and it was on the NEWS, then it's true....period. Then we have our current political REGIME that plays specifically to people's hate, fear, misunderstanding, prejudice, and political/sociological ignorance, to gain acceptance...appealing specifically to people's DARKER side. People believe what they WANT to believe. Too many American have LOST TOUCH WITH REALITY.

How do you argue with that? How do you make people see what they DON'T want to?
