You all rag on us for doing stuff, how about this. We cut off all, 100% of military action tonight. At the same time all mooney and food aid will also stop. When we do will you ask us to help the starving in Africa (we won't), another Bosnia, Let Europe handle their own mess. Do you think this is fair, I do. You get rid of us and we get all the leeches out of our tax dollars. Oh and BTW, next Tsunami,. don't bother calling us, okay.

To carpediem, Is there that big a difference. Who do they call when troops are needed, the USA. Yet when we act in self defense or to enforce UN resolutions (Afghanistan & Iraq) they harp that we are evil. I'll bet if we just stopped shipping food, over 50 million wouldbe dead in the next month or so. Humanitarian aid should start in the US, for what we give to others we can feed and cloth the homeless and poor here.

Good question and good thinking.
The whole world depends on us....and takes advantage of us.
We have a rich country because we have capitalism.

There's a big difference in humanitarian aid for countries experiencing a natural disaster and getting involved in other countries political issues right? I think that's probably what they're talking about when they want us to "butt out".

Agree. Its time for the US to end its self appointed role as world cop and aid giver. Its also time to get the UN out of the US and the US out of the UN.

Unfortunately, as tempting as isolation may be in today's world, it is a global economy. We must tread very carefully down the isolationist road in order not to affect our economy negatively or cause the same in other countries.

Hmmm.. who taught u that in return for aid we must kill others? Is it like "I fool you cause I feed you"?
Do you mean that to help people after Tsunami others must be killed somewhere else?
You have a VERY weird way of thinking! As well as those who agreed with you! You are scary people!
Other nations who raised funds for Tsunami and other disasters are not involving themselves in how the other countries are running their businesses.

How much money do you actually think America donates? You seem to think its an extraordinary amount. We give the least out of any major country.

The last time we did that, we had World War II. And we did it for the same reason you are suggesting it now. The liberals (back then, they were more honest and called themselves communists) constantly pressured the US to "butt out" of world affairs. So we did. Nex thing you know, millions of people are being thrown into ovens.
