During the past five years, the United States and many other donor nations pledged billions of dollars to Afghanistan, yet Afghans keep asking: "Where did the money go?" American taxpayers should be asking the same question. Last year, for example, when the president sent his wife to Kabul for the New York Times, they reported that her mission was "to promise long-term commitment from the United States to education for women and children." she pledged that the United States would give an additional $17.7 million to support education in Afghanistan. But that grant had been announced before; and it was not for Afghan education (or women and children) at all but for a new private, for-profit American University of Afghanistan. (How a private university comes to be supported by public tax dollars and the Army Corps of Engineers is another peculiarity of Bush aid.)
"You cannot support private education and ignore public education."
The question IS:
Where do you think all this money is?

Comments by non-biased analyst on various cable news stations have suggested that this docu drama is top heavy with conservative stratergist to undermind the democratic push for victory in the november elections. How can such a controversial subject as the 911 attack be poltiicized with false non substantuated propaganda be allowed to air? This is a clear intention by the Conservative biased media to create a negitive democratic atmosphere prior to a very important and possibly pivotal election. Should ABC's responsibility to being truthfull to the American Public be held to the fire? Will ABC be subject to slanderous lawsuits, or a possible court order to stop the airing of this ficticious anti democrat production. With the November elections becoming a benchmark for a possible turn around in U.S. Policies both Global and domestic, a lot may ride on the public's ability to seperate fact from propagandized fiction.

Lets say you are the head of a good ol' American firm, and you needed another worker, because the old one married and moved to Canada. You have two choices, a Republican and an Liberal, who both flash outragous political badges. Which one would you choose, and why? Would it matter?
If it did matter, would it be discrimination?

last term, i was in my american lit class and my professor asked us, what would more likely happen first, a black president of the united states, or a middle easterner president of the united states. i guessed black, because most people would not vote for a middle easterner president due to the linkage to ideas of terrorism. my professor said, its more likely for a middle easterner to become president because white america hates black america that much. it didnt make sense to me back then, and it still doesnt, so i want to ask all of you, who would you more likely vote on just by what they are, not by who they are, a black president or a middle eastern descent president? please tell me why. No jokes please, thank you!!!

the Vice president of Canada Steve Harper, has warned the Liberal Party of Canada not to apose the the legislation to reform the Senet. I think some one should tell Mr. harper that It Is the JOB of THE OPASITION to Crateque the Bill to find fault and to point out the ways to make it better, they also have a duty to the people of Canada to represent the people who do not agrea with the party in power. I would welcome coments.

If you knew what you know now ( the govenment isn't going to help pay for your cancer treatment at all. Its all over the news)

Would you still go to help the world trade tower victims. Knowing you might have cancer in a few yrs, and could possibly die.

P.s i was going to BMCC College at the time of this tragedy which is a few short blocks away. and ther was another BMCC building next to the towers that was knocked down when the towers fell. i was affected however the students and teachers who develop respitory problems don't qualify for and benefits either. Its a shame. When i found this out it ws the icing on the cake.
