Spirit walker, If you would read the question, you would see what I recommend. Vote for people who will work for legal Americans. I know it's a novel idea these days.

That is how I vote! I vote for the person who comes close to the moral values I hold dear, to his beliefs in the educational system of this country, to his background of doing, to his past achievements, to how this person views the world and what he is planning to do to make life worth living , how is he planning to distribute the money, what are his main strenghts in world affairs, etcetera. As of now I dont se any one worth it , someone must be coming soon.

It is horrible that we feel we have to be stuck with these, but I feel that voting 3rd party is giving my vote to the worst of the two. For instance, I'm an environmentalist who takes this subject very seriously when deciding who to vote for. I was ostricized in the college Sierra club I was a member of for wanting to vote for Gore (which is stupid b/c he's very environmentally friendly and would have done a wonderful job). Everyone said, "You have to vote Green party!" Of course, if all those who voted for Nader had voted for Gore, who do you think would have won? Those people gave Bush the victory and then it was the worst possible thing that could have happened to the environment. We might as well kiss nature's future goodbye.

Republicans advocate smaller government, much of which are reform measures to protect the poor. Democrats advocate protection measures for the poor, and are accused of being socialist, and an enemy of freedom. Actually the freedom that they want to deminish is the freedon of monopolization of corporations to control prices, And wages.

I agree with you but until then people feel the need to vote for whoever closely represents them. there will never ever be a politician that can please you all the time.
