Iv'e always thougt of bush as sort of retarted ( not trying to insult true mentaly challenged people, just no better word to describe him) by the way he acts and talks, and that Rumsfield is actually running things via poppa Bush. Look at 911, the VP went into hiding and the president was all over, like a perfect target. It seems Rumsfield was more valuable. Your opinion

I worked in retail as a cashier for a year or so and I would ring up customers who paid with a food stamp card (so much money for food only purchases so much for cash items like diapers and clothing). Many would buy DVD's and televisions and digital cameras with their cash allowance or buy shrimp and crab legs with their food allowance, there were actually some instances where food would get put back so the dvd could be purchased. I see these as luxury items and should not be allowed to be purchased with gov't provided money. Why should I be working to get luxury items when these people can get them for free? Is there some way to regulate purchases or somewhere to contact to look into this? I realize it would be tedious to monitor everyone's spending but I think its beyond rediculous to get taxes taken out of my paycheck to provide an entertainment system for the "needy".

The Republicans say "The Democrats will let the terrorists overrun us." The Democrats say "Bush Lied, People Died." While all this going on, there really are people out there who want to attack and destroy the United States. Our focus is greatly diverted, and it is almost like we are in denial or not serious enough.
Do you think this could be a fatal problem if we are unable to face reality and unify as we did right after 9/11/01?

We were attacked on 911, and we need to obey president Bush and his decisions. To question him is to give aid and comfort to the enemy. Why do these liberals fail to see that by not obeying Pres Bush they are in effect commiting acts of terrorism?

Clinton lied about a *******. Bush lied about causus belli (reason for going to war).

John Q. Adams was basically run out of office for the "Alien & Sedition Acts" which were the forerunner of today's Patriot Act.

Whitewater was investigated by a Republican hit squad who never came up with anything. Why has no one investigated the Cheney-linked Halliburton no-bid contracts in Iraq?

There are many, many countries that are not safe.
There are several countries that are safe, but not free.
There are almost no countries that are free*.

Can anyone tell me why people should try to sacrifice the freedom in this country for safety? Why shouldn't these security-lovers just move to any of the dozens and dozens of places in the world where security reigns?
Where will freedom lovers go if the security-lovers have their way HERE?

*(Notice how these FEW free countries tend to be pretty safe, too, because people know that each individual takes charge of his own safety?
That's why Japan didn't invade the U.S. on the ground during WWII, because every citizen is SUPPOSED TO BE free to arm himself! Invaders and terrorists and thugs, they don't mess around with populi in armis!)
