If you re-read the story Frankie stated that he never saw LA use any drugs. Frankie and his wife testified that LA told a doctor in their presence about drug usage. The doctor in question refuted their statement.
Also Anabolic Steriod use does not lead to testicular cancer...it does however lead to the testes shrinking in size due to the the glands shutting down their production of testosterone temporarily while the steriod testerone is being introduced into the body either orally or intra-muscular.
Keep this in mind, LA is and was the most tested person from 99 to 95. He would even get tested off season many times.
This is the other thing to keep in mind that the molecules of the different sorts of anabolics stay in your system for quite some time. They can be detected in tests months away from the original date of use which also leads me to believe there was something fishy about Floyds positive tests. Testosterone in the forms of methyl, propianate, enethate and the like will show up in your system on the day of use and up to a month later, why didn't Floyds other tests on the days to follow show traces? Remember the French do not particlularly like us and would love to disgrace LA, Floyd along with the USA. I say smear campaign is on high. I hope this helps as I'm in the know.

Absolutely, the fact that this sport and its champions have yet to come "clean" is bad. The fact that they are held up as heroes, and idolized by millions of kids is scary. They are heroes in a sport where it is almost impossible to win without using drugs. What kind of example are they setting for the future.
Just the fact that this latest guy had a miraculous come from behind win in the one stage that he tested positive for steroids shows how much impact you can make by cheating. I hope this positive test is the first step in a turnaround for the sport.

No, Lance Armstrong is an extremely powerful athlete and was falsely accused of using steroids because of jealousy. Everyone in the world has more testosterone than the French.

His team-mates say they used performance enhancing drugs, but no statement has been made that he did. It's all speculation. He didn't make himself out to be a hero, people chose to give him that status.

He's looking guiltier all the time, and testosterone injections may in fact have caused his testicular cancer. Ironic. (in the real sense, not in the Allanis Morissette sense...lol)

1. Was it actually proven?
2. My impression was that it was implied by the press, which are two different things.
3. If you hear nothing more of it, it was probably just spin.

I don't think he tricked people. I think people make up their own heroes. He is only an athlete competing in a sport of his choice.

I wouldn't call him a hero, but he is a model of perseverance.
