Iv'e always thougt of bush as sort of retarted ( not trying to insult true mentaly challenged people, just no better word to describe him) by the way he acts and talks, and that Rumsfield is actually running things via poppa Bush. Look at 911, the VP went into hiding and the president was all over, like a perfect target. It seems Rumsfield was more valuable. Your opinion

Like all presidents I like some things that he's done and some I don't. He inherited a country that looked good on the outside but it was in bad shape in a lot of ways. Clinton did nothing to fight terrorism he raised taxes the highest they ever were and thus Bush inherited the start of a recession. In some ways we needed Bush because of his tax cuts and his stance against terrorists. Like it our not they are out there and want to kill you and me. Has he made mistakes? Sure he has. But I just don't think our first priority is to worry about what other countries think about us.Yes 911 happened on his watch but the planning of it started long before that. I've read where there has been as many as 8 attempts to attack the U.S. since 911 and they have all been stopped. Isn't that more important then crying about his methods to find out about these plots. I'm ashamed of the once good democratic party exaggerating on the way our intellegence agencies collect information from phone records. They would have you believe someone is listening in on your every call. It's just not true. They have paiinted theirselves in a corner. It's almost like they want Bush to be defeated by the terrorists so they can win power back. But by Bush being defeated by terrorism that means we all loose. Sure it's ok to disagree with his policies I don't like some of them either. But to try and divide the country during a war by bad mouthing our military and commander in cheif is going too far in my book. But it does seem to be working if all the hate I read about for Bush here and other places is from sincere people who vote and really believe all the BS they are spewing. Guess we'll see in a couple months during the mid term elections.

Even _IF_he was clueless, and there is little evidence of that, except maybe body language, what difference would that make ?.

Reagan was nearly incapacited by the assassination attempt but things went on fine all the same.

Fact is the job description is more like CEO, or as he puts it, decider. Do you really think you could handle the UNVARNISHED daily briefing ?. He must know FAR AND AWAY more than filters down to the public. That's an obvious necessity.

Fact is really this. The job IS HELL on all counts, health, peace of mind, personal life, etc etc. THE STRESS ALONE SHOULD BE REASON FOR ROTATING PRESIDENCY, say one month to president one, next month to president two.

I think we're looking at someone who by now, would much rather be mending fences, playing golf etc.

You should not get into this type of discussion before running a spell check. In any case, I believe the President does have a clue, he has a clue about how to start war, how to anger foreign leaders, how to alienate the US from other important countries. He has a clue about how to eventually divide the people of the United States even more after such a tragic event, and he even has a clue about how to speak a little Spanish.

Bush knows more than anyone else, especially you, whats going on. His IQ was graded against Kerry's using military entrance exams and Bush is smarter than Kerry. Bush and Cheney had to separate to make a smaller target.
