I mean, come on. Who really cares what France thinks about us? I could care less about what other countries think- They're going to hate us no matter what we do.

I couldn't care less what other countries think either. With thousands of immigrants coming here annually, this must not be a bad place. And the only time I ever hear about people not liking us (with the exception of the middle east) comes from the Dems and Libs.

Evertsmic? Let me get this straight, you want countries like France, Russia and China to be judges as to the justification of our foreign policy. Officials high up in the French & Russian governments were guilty of taking payoffs from Sadam out of the oil for food project. You can not be serious when you say you want countries of that ilk to approve our policies. If they had not been doing that, they MAY would have gave us some support in Iraq.

The us has always believed that they are "the only country" that matters. I don't understand why they believe that they need to butt into the business of every other country as if they are the boss of the whole world.
They should just take care of the business in their own back yard and let everyone take care of their own business.

The only ones that do care are the politically correct crowd that are messing it up for the rest of U.S. If not for them, I think we would have made much more progress in the war on terrorism.

Nobody would hate you if you mind your own business. Everyone likes to make their own mistakes and resent interference (even if you mean well). You wouldn't like it if France tells you how to run your country.

you need to get your head out of your butt. we are not worried about what they think, this is not a popularity contest. it is a fight for survival, we need to know what is going on with other countries so we know what to expect when it comes to each of them. we need to be aware if they are our Allies or enemies. that information is necessary in order to keep our country safe. so shut up unless you have an intelligent question for the rest of us.

Why do we care what nyone thinks of us? Because it is one of the ways we measure the justness of our actions. It's not necessarily the best way, but it is one of the ways.
We should care if our fellow humans, American or otherwise, raise questions about the policies of our country being evil and murderous
