I read in the Newspapers that Gov. Perry is going to close some of the Sate Parks for lack of funds, and some of them concern us the citizens that go every summer to those Parks with our kids. For example one of them is Lake Corpus Chrisit which is located in Mathis, TX. That lake is a very big lake and is a gorgeous place to camp and go boating. It is a big shame that this Gov. from Texas should even consider doing it. He should find ways of funding this beautiful places which are the State Parks, that are frequented by Families, that cannot afford going to other places that cost a lot more.

where it belongs on Hezbollah, they started with the rockets and on the Lebanese for allowing Hezbollah to take hold of their country, and The feeble UN with a force of 2000 observers missed the 13,000 missles being brought into Lebanon? No people would rather blame Bush. Wake-up.

flaming Jane Fonda sort of liberal, when in fact their views may vary on all topics. They just don't like W. I know conservatives who think electing him was a mistake. Few people hold traditional liberal or conservative views on all political topics. Most of us are more complex than that. Isn't labelling just a lazy man's short cut to thinking?

Background: The US and Israel openly consider Iran and Syria to be "state sponsors of terrorism" because of their links to groups in the Middle East who use terrorist tactics such as suicide bombing and attacks on civilians.

Yet in the last few weeks, in response to such attacks, Israel has launched military strikes on Lebanon which have killed or wounded ambulance workers, UN representatives and Lebanese civilians, including children.

The Israeli Defence Force, which carried out these strikes, is answerable to the government of Israel. As such, wouldn't you consider Israel to be a "state sponsor of terrorism"? And by extension, what about the US, which provides political and military support to Israel?

I'm looking for serious, considered responses here - no racist or inflammatory opinions or one-word answers. Please tell me what you think, and what your perspective or background is. (Any abuse will be reported.)

Thanks!
