Living in USA and stop driving is just not possible. We are so dependent on automobiles. We can conserve. Drive efficiently and maintain our automobile.
We can also take steps to use the public transport.

What problem. I don't know where you live, but here in Texas we have some of the lowest gas prices in the country, and our country has some of the lowest gas prices in the world. Try living in Europe, they pay 6 to 7 dollars a gallon. I don't hear people complaining over the price for a gallon of milk, or a bottle of water, or a loaf of bread. Everything used to be cheaper, it’s the way of the world, there is no fix.

refuse to come to work because of gas prices or write a letter to the president stating your concerns and stuff like that. you might even be able to take it to court.
