where it belongs on Hezbollah, they started with the rockets and on the Lebanese for allowing Hezbollah to take hold of their country, and The feeble UN with a force of 2000 observers missed the 13,000 missles being brought into Lebanon? No people would rather blame Bush. Wake-up.

For some reason, much of the world (and the American liberals) have found it's always been easier to 'blame the Jews' for everything. It seems as though the Arab nations get away scott-free for much of what they instigate in other parts of the world, the exception being 9/11. It's so tough to explain why people are still against the Semitic portion of the Middle East and it doesn't help their cause any when most of their American Jewish counterparts side with the liberals to denounce Israel and its very being. Bush was brave enough to take a stand against radical Islam and for some reason, people feel as though he should be bashed and hated instead of receiving the credit he thoroughly deserves. I, for one, am proud to call him our President.

Hi, my name is Hank. I want to make this statement up front. When civilians let terrorists bring ammunition and arms into their home, they lose their civilian status. They become collaborators. That means they are complicit with the terrorists.

Negrodeus, your appellation won't work. We know you are Muslim. Who had the country before it was called Palestine, huh? Do you even know? Your anti-Zionism betrays your Muslim bias.

Hey, Pops, give the Islamic Fascists H*ll. Thank you.

Sjean, it's gone past the kidnappings now. The Israelis aren't going to stop until Hezbollah are a bunch of has-been murderers. Hezbollah, Syria and Iran are the ones killing the Lebanese by hiding among them and turning civilian homes into armories.

JaredH, tsk, tsk, tsk, there are going to be a lot more in Israeli jails, as long as Muslims try to kill all the Israelis just because they are Israelis.

Ahmad O, Muslims have been killing Israelis and other Westerners for a heck of a lot longer than fifty years. Muslims are going down.

Walter Ridgeley, what can I say. I love it when a man speaks the truth. Give 'em H*ll, Walter.

WBrian 28, great assessment. The only thing is the people being killed aren't innocent civilians. They are complicit with Hezbollah, Syria and Iran.

I support Israel for striking back at Muslim cowards.

I do blame Hezbollah. That doesn't mean that I think Bush handled the Israeli situation well during his tenure though.

We look weak to a lot of nutjobs right now - that's why Iran could encourage Hezbollah to take such actions. They don't fear us because we're so bogged down in Iraq. Same reason N. Korea thinks they can take advantage of us.

I was, at first, skeptical of Israel's approach, and I still can't stand the number of innocent civilians getting killed, but a strong show of force while making sure that they continually express that their war isn't with the Government or people of Lebanon - in fact arguing that they are liberating Lebanon is probably the only way this could be taken care of.

Bush isn't to fault for Hezbollah's actions, but his foreign policy has been completely misguided to the point that these whack-jobs think they can do whatever they want because we're distracted.

It seems apparent to me. So many Americans and Europeans blame the Bush administration, America and Israel for everything that goes wrong in the Middle East.

Why on earth doesn't Hezbollah just return the two kidnapped soldiers if they care a whit about the Lebanese people?

You are way off. You might want to take a look at the Beaver Creek meeting Dick Cheney recently took part in. The administration is gearing up for a war with Iran, all they need is an excuse to push the US population into this imperial scheme. The israeli's claim that the assault on Hezbollah is in response to a kidnapping of 2 Jewish soldiers. Well Hezbollah has been kid napping soldiers to conduct prisoner exchanges for decades, now suddenly this action is of such paamount importance that it must call for Jewish invasion of their northern Neighbor. Hogwash I say, Israel is only solidifying their northern flank to prepare to invase Syria, their true objective. The US is selling Bunker BUsters and other DU arms to Israel to gear up for the true objective the invasion of Iran, First Lebanon, then Syria, then Iran, that is the plan we the people are being hoodwinked to follow. WAKE THE HELL UP AMERICA!

Yes, that's right boil a few 1000 years of animosity to what happened in the last year. Definitly the American way of looking at things. Do you know how many arabs Isreal holds in its jail without trial?

Do you know how many are women and children?

Both sides have plenty of reason to be angry at the other, what doesn't help things is this administration setting a precident of using brute force rather than diplomacy. We could initiate a ceasefire today if we wanted since Isreal needs to get all its weapons from us.

And Hezbollah and the other Islamic-Fascists can lob rockets indiscriminately into civillian areas, but if Israel hits a civillian then it's all Israel's fault and they are the bad guys...

You are very right it is the fault of Hezbollah and not Israel.

I dont think taking the soldiers was cause for bombing a whole city of civilians, who is worse, the ones who hide behind the innocent for them to be killed, or those who choose to bomb civilians in retaliation?

I think both are barbaric, the terrorists for killing innocent people and Israel for killing innocent people.

BTW, israel is the one getting support, i dont know where you above have been.

Anyone who stands up for humanity is put in the box of "liberal" like its a dirty word. Does everyone have to be liberal to love fellow man or fellow child? I LOVE children, and I dont want to see them being bombed, if that makes me a liberal then so be it but I wish everyone had a heart for children...

NEITHER ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!

To be quite honest this sounds like Bush. Please do not be offended, but what you describe is a child's understanding of the situation. To name Israel and the U.S. as blameless may be simple ignorance on your part, but it comes across as that peculiarly American form of witless, unjustified, racist pride.
