All I here is whinning from you people about how bushes presidency is not official etc. and about the electoral college. Ok now when you get a dem for president one of these days are you going to cry about it then? I think not. If there were no electoral college one state could elect the president. Why dont u people get the big picture?

It has mine.

I've been coming here for a few weeks now and I was thinking about this the other day. While I have not changed any of my beliefs, I do have a better understanding of why I believe what I do and how the other side thinks.

I used to think that most republicans just didn't know the real facts. I felt for sure that if they watched news like PBS The Newshour that is nuetral, then how could they not see things my way...

Since coming here, I've learned that, excluding the ones that don't know what they are talking about on both sides, a lot of republicans do understand the facts but their core beliefs are just different than mine.

I think we can't begin to come to any sort of compromise until we all can at least understand the other side.

I have a great old friend who is a repubican from Midland, Texas.

When we talk politics, we never argue. The other day we were talking about N.Korea and I was stating my view on diplomacy and he was stating his on ... we can kick their butts if they mess with us. That is a common view of his. hehe

Anyways, THE POINT... I realized later that you know what.. we need each other in this society.

If everybody was a far left liberal like me then we probably would be an isolated country because I don't want us in other countries' business at all. And I realize that we need the guys like him that are ready to go kick **** when they are ask.

Then on the other side, if everybody was like him the world would be at war a lot more and there would probably be one world leader.

The POINT IS LOCATED HERE:
I recognize that he needs my diplomacy while I need his willingness to protect us at all cost.

Anyone else agree? It's ok if you don't just play nice if you can :)

Seems damn convenient to me. He could have died any time in the last few years and it would seem less suspicious than dying right after sentencing and right before going to prison for good. I just know if I was his age, had his kind of money and connections, I would do anything to avoid dying in prison. What did he have left to lose?

Seriously, if I had resources like this guy (and connections) and I knew I might die in prison; I might try to fake my own death. Or if that was too complicated I might just kill myself - making it harder for the government to take my assets. Am I the only one wondering this?

It is a known fact that our government has stated repeatedly that we know very very little about N.Korea. They are a very isolated, closed society.

BUT, here we go with the propaganda.... N.Korea is a cult, Kim Jong is a pyscho, ... GEEZ I swear everyday I lose more faith in the brains of my fellow Americans. No wonder the world thinks we are a country of idiots. We seem to constantly fall for this crap over and over.

What are your thoughts about this case after visiting this site ?

Do you think the cops had a justifiable reason for shooting and killing Swauve? If so, on what grounds? If not, why?
