At the rate we're going, I see the world economy in total chaos, and most of it will be thanks to us. We're something like seven to ten trillion dollars in debt now. And we used to be the one who bailed out the neediest countries on Earth. We can't hide a debt like that forever.
Our leader has been telling our creditors "the check's in the mail" for six years now. He's spent more in six years than all of our other presidents have in 225 years, all combined. And he hasn't been paying our bills. That's why he can still afford to "cut taxes."
Actually, taxes remain about the same or even higher unless you're filthy rich. That's a big part of why gas costs three bucks a gallon. The cost has little to do with per-barrel oil prices. It's nearly all taxes.
It can't be good that one of the countries we borrowed the most from is Red China. You don't want to have a billion starving people coming over to break your legs because you haven't paid them anything on what you borrowed in good faith. Especially while you're out farting money away on such luxuries like no more death taxes or dividend taxes, but only for all the millionaires and billionaires and big business. And all that corporate welfare, which is ten times the amount of all of our social-help services combined. That is, when we still had social-help services. That pretty much ended six years ago. We can't be wasting all this money on the poor and working classes while all these poor billiionaires are doing without.
We borrowed a lot of money from the Mid East, too. If their oil tycoons did what our cable, electric, and phone companies do, we would have all been riding bicycles five years ago. How are we supposed to go to war then? Get a bunch of rowboats and head over to Iran and Iraq? Can you see a bunch of guys on inline skates patrolling Baghdad?
The economy may be small potatoes in five years.
At the rate we're going, in five years, we may be apologizing to the rest of the world the way Germany had to at the Nuremburg trials following WWII. That won't be much fun. Germany still doesn't have too may friends sixty years later. That's kind of a long time to be dissed for being such a jerk, but it's pretty hard to get much sympathy, even from yourself.
The one good thing is, the republicans and ultra-conservatives ought to be pretty well washed up by then. Have you ever heard of a political part called the Whigs? They were pretty much what the republicans are now and they pulled pretty much the same crap. That's why you haven't heard of them for well over a hundred years except in history books.
Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it. Again and again and again.

European Union divided in two camps:
1 capitalists who want to continue expanding to east
2 common people who are trying to rescue what`s left of the Europe`s economy as a result of participation in globalisation without custom borders.
