Given Ann Coulter's reputation for extreme and irrational commentary both live and in print, it would be hardly surprising to find out she plagiarized her book. As to why she has not been "raked over the coals" like Kaavya Viswanathan, the now discredited author of "How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got a Life": the answer rests with corporate media. Miss Coulter appears to garner too large a segment of viewing public for corporate interests to do more than embarrass or humiliate her at best. She will keep her credibility because corporate has nothing to gain by taking her credibility away. In other words, she is a product that is not likely to be discontinued any time soon. It does not matter that she is a toxic influence on almost any political discussion in which she engages.

There's no plagiarism. The computer program only seeks possibilites. It's up to humans then to look at the questioned section and determine whether or not it's a problem.

Plagiarism doesn't mean you can't have a single word or concept that has ever appeared anywhere else in print. It's just a matter of proper attribution, and every sane person is convinced she attributed correctly and broke no rules or laws of authorship.

It's just another case of hysteria created on the internet. And, by the way, these people who are all wound up never care about when the law is violated - until it's a conservative that potentially violates one. Be consistent, people.

As much as I can't stand the b****; she didn't plagiarize at all. She's only an opinionated; which means she can summarize her findings and twist them in the wind with smoke and mirrors as Ann has done in the past and continues to this very day. It however, doesn't validate her veracity, and at the same time doesn't warrant her being torched on a cross of jagged glass, as she so richly deserves.

I believe the answer to why the media is doing nothing is that the media is now leaning more towards the right than the left. They love her on Fox News so they won't say anything bad about her.

I say she did, but I'm nobody.
The news says she's 'cleared' of any plagiarism allegations.
Either way, she's still "Saint Ann the Intolerant" in my eyes.
