Whether Greece would help or not the US come to the aid of Turkey.

Even after all of the anti-American bashing they have done (and will continue to do).

We would then give them grants and loans to rebuild anything that was destroyed during the fighting then leave.... and soon thereafter the Turks would blame us for all of their problems and even make a claim that the US conspired with Russia to invade just so we could feed our war machine.

I think we should see what happens the next time someone cries for help and we just sit there and watch. There is just nothing in it for us anymore to help.

That made me laugh, but that's seriously an interesting question For the sake of argument, no, I doubt it. Turkey and Greece are both NATO nations and it would mean some serious sh**t for both of them. Suppose Greece did, however, we would probably intervene on the side of Turkey because they hold Mosul's border and among other things, one of the strongest economies in the Middle East/Central Asia (stronger than Greece...plus we've invested quite a lot in them). This would probably never happen though (I emphasize *probably*. You never know these days).

Not sure what strategic reason Russia would invade Turkey except maybe to secure the Dardanelles so they have unhindered access to the Mediterranean.

I think Turkey should abandon Istanbul to the Greeks so we can have Constantinople back and restore the Hagia Sofia to what it should be.

Yes. As a fellow NATO partner Greece would be obliged to help Turkey in case of an attack by foreign forces, in the same way as all other NATO countries would help. That's the whole idea of NATO.
