my fiance is a british citizen and we would like to get married. It's so difficult if he comes over here and it will take 6-8 months for the fiance visa to be cleared that we thought maybe if i go over there and we get married it would be easier and he could come straight over and we could file for his visa then. But can he stay while the paperwork is being processed?

I am French, and I do not bear living in my country, because politicians are bad here. I am going to live in New Zealand. I a convinced we give the impression of being permissive, like a country which would live his last moments. What do you think of this?

This was the idea in the 60s, 70s, but not any more. Then u could make ur dream come true with a little of hard work.
Now, u could hardly make it, even working 2 jobs, just to get by & pay the bills.
Financial report says that 40% of Americans are 1 paid check away from loosing their homes & file for bankrupcy.
Still people come believing that they are the smart one who know how to strick it rich.
As INS study said also that only 1% of immigrants succeeds financially.

Or hijib (apologise for spelling). I was amazed to learn that with just their eyes showing - how can authorities be sure if they are who they say they are when checking their passport, as apparently they don't need to look at their face.

This is one of the best articles I have read lately about illegal immigration in the USA. Can the USA practice "tough love" with Mexico and would this be the best way to handle our illegal immigration problem?

http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/editorial/16575974.htm

"By closing the borders, the United States would stop subsidizing Mexican failure. At present, workers come here not just to get higher wages, but also because they believe their cash income will often be untaxed and will be augmented by subsidized state health care, housing and education.

Tax evasion and American entitlement help to free up workers' dollars to be sent back to Mexico. In economic terms, that translates to the U.S. economy's subsidizing millions of the unemployed people in Mexico through $20 billion annually in cash remittances. This money weakens the incentive of millions in Mexico to seek employment or to demand government reform."

As my daughter, son in law & 2 grandchildren resided to Australia and will get there permanent residency soon I want to know if it is possible in a way to immigrate before the waiting period of 2 years before we could be sponsered. We are healty and still want to work. We miss our children so much and as it is our goal to join them it is to so as soon as possible. We do not have enough points now for the parent visa because of our age.
Could you please advise what will be the best visa to apply for, how long will it take (queues) and what will be required.
Our children stays in Perth and are going to Melbourne to stay as my son in law accepted a job offer there. My daughter is in her last year of studying for a lawyer and she really need some help with the children to advance in her career.
Thank you and awaiting your reply
