What you have done according to the law is abandoned your permanent residence status. You will have to start all over in the process. They are so far behind right now in applications it may take you another five years to get everything back in order. Another possibility is to hire a very good immigration attorney. Sometimes they can speed up the process. Either way you go get ready to wait a long time and spend a lot of money again.

Sorry, your Green Card expired one year after you left. The only way to come back is to start all over again.

if you over stayed and came here with visitor/student/worker visa,have to wait for another 8 years to make your record clear.
Except if you get married with US citizen.

Immigration, call them. They will let you know the process. Do it legally .
