I think this money could be better used in providing health care for our own working poor. Illegal immigration is so unfair to our own people. Who is looking out for our interests?

How horrific can things get? Wendy's hires a bunch of illegals, neglects to file their papers on time and fires them because they would have been breaking the law to keep them on. Hadn't Wendy's broken the law by hiring them in the first place? Wow! What a country! Go there illegally. Get a job with fake i.d. Then apply to be legal with employers help? Employer fires you for being illegal and then you can sue them?

Oh say can you see a country going to he** in a handbasket?

I can guarantee I will never darken the door of Wendy's ever again. How about you? Like it the way some fella said, they should have worked for Burger King - Then they (illegals) could have had it Their Way!

Why does the law have to go through so many processes when dealing with illegal immigrants? The word is illegal therefore they should not be here therefore why are they not sent straight back without any court case. If you are illegal you should not be here it is done everyday on the US Mexican border.

Fugitive arrested 20 years after escape from federal custody

Associated Press

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - An illegal immigrant who walked away from an Oklahoma federal detention camp more than two decades ago was in custody Monday after his arrest during a traffic stop.

Martin Hernandez Gonzalez managed to avoid federal detection for years because his case somehow slipped through the system, said Deputy U.S. Marshal John Laster.

"For some reason, they did not file a complaint on him" for the escape, Laster said.

Hernandez, a Mexican citizen, was serving a sentence of less than a year for a misdemeanor charge of illegal entry into the U.S. when he disappeared about 21 years ago. He left the minimum security camp outside the El Reno Federal Corrections Institution in Oklahoma with a little more than a month left to serve, Laster said.

Hernandez's case didn't surface again until this fall, when prison officials were reviewing their files. A search found he'd been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Mount Pleasant, Laster said.

The information was sent to the U.S. Marshals Service offices in the area. But without a warrant for Hernandez, marshals were apprehensive about arresting him. So Hernandez's name was added to the National Crime Information Center, a database used by law enforcement, Laster said.

When a Mount Pleasant police officer stopped a man Thursday for driving a car without headlights on, authorities captured Hernandez. He was going by Martin Medina Hernandez, 40, the Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune reported in Monday's edition.

Hernandez was arrested and charged by local officials with driving while intoxicated. He was being held at Titus County Jail on that count and a federal charge of escape while arrested. Authorities also placed an immigration hold on him, jail officials said.

He will be prosecuted on the DWI charge, serve the remainder of his federal sentence in Texarkana and then be deported, Laster said.

...would you alert the illegal immigrant workers that the INS was coming?

Yes, I've seen this happen with my own two eyes. I was visiting a large business complex to purchase wholesale glass, and suddenly it looked like all of these workers dropped what they were doing and RAN. A minute later, an INS van pulled up and they nabbed just a handful of illegal workers. Someone had tipped them off, I guess?

Please, serious responses only!

town most girls are nice and slim but soon they start putting on weight and as they move to live in towns else where (As they move to town and cities in the interior states and away from the border) they pack on weight really fast and you hardly see any Mexican girl that is slim and trim who lives far away from the boarder or any mexican girl that has been in the USA for a year or so and still slim and trim.

Do you think its the cheap American fast food or we does the USA just have a good welfare system...........or what other reasons can you think of .........
Your thoughts please.........

Young pretty Mexican girls working as hookers at the USA border towns and stated that the numbers have risen by 4 times in the last 1.5 years and that the cost for the hookers have gone way down. It stated that some hookers trick for as cheap as $5.00 to $10.00 per trick. I know this is real sad but the TV also stated that these young women loved the quick USA dollars......It almost seemed as if the report tried to glorified turning tricks as a good way to earn USA DOLLARS.

My question......Do you think that reports like these are true or not
- Is it true that the number of Mexican hookers have increased in the last 1.5 years
- Is it true that the cost of hookers have gone down
- Is it true that Mexicans will do anything to make a quick American dollars even if its selling themselfs

MEXICO CITY -- A judge in the central Mexico state of Puebla ordered a Roman Catholic priest to stand trial in the rape of a 9-year-old boy in 1999, Mexican daily Reforma reported Saturday.

The judge, Emma Peralta, was not immediately available to confirm the ruling issued Friday. About 50 parishioners gathered outside the court building to support jailed priest Rafael Perez Sanchez, who was arrested on Sept. 30 in the community of San Rafael Tlanalapan, where he officiated.

A person who answered the phone at the offices of the Archdiocese of Puebla said no one was immediately available to comment on the charges.

Mexican law does not permit bail for those accused of serious crimes; rape is punishable by prison terms of eight to 40 years.

Perez Sanchez, whose age was not given, is accused in the rape of a minor at the priest's residence over the Christmas holidays in 1999.

The boy's mother and father were good friends with Perez, and as a result, the minor initially was afraid to tell them what happened, police said. He finally did in 2003, and his parents immediately filed a complaint. A judge did not issue an arrest warrant until last year.

Perez's detention comes amid a similar scandal involving a second Mexican priest from Puebla, the Rev. Nicolas Aguilar. A 25-year-old Mexican man has accused Aguilar of raping him when he was a teenager in 1994. The priest also has been charged in California with 19 felony counts of committing lewd acts on a child. He is still at large.

His alleged Mexican victim, Joaquin Aguilar Mendez, also filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Sept. 19 accusing Mexican Roman Catholic Cardinal Norberto Rivera of Mexico City and Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony of conspiring to protect the Rev. Aguilar. Both cardinals have denied the accusations.
Is this why the Roman Catholic Church wants illegal aliens to stay?

This is the reason people are UPSET. Illegal aliens are over running our schools. Over running our hospitals, social services, trying to change the LANGAUAGE of our country because they won't assimilate and accept ENLGISH. This is WRONG!A guest worker program is RIDIDICUOUS. Their meager wages, legal or not will NOT pay for what they are getting for "free" here. ILLEGALS are making out like bandits on LEGAL TAX PAYERS. If people can't come here LEGALLY and respect our LAWS - that ALONE should make people NOT want them here - thumbing their noses at our LAWS is not a good sign. It devalues our EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS that need to be ENFORCED NOW. There is NO NEED TO CHANGE LAWS. ENDFORCE and add other laws to make sure people, whoever they are, come here LEGALLY and we get LAW ABIDING PEOPLE

I know you can stay in Mexico for 6 months with a tourist visa before you have to go back to the USA..... but if you just go south into Guatamala instead of back to the US border, is that legal? Could a person just go from country to country, staying in each as long as it was legal?
