No, I'm not boycotting Wendy's. They made a grave error, yes, in hiring an incompetent attorney, let the legal system work it all out. No, they shouldn't have hired illegal aliens in the first place, you're right. Do you think they are the only company who has? No way. What angers me is to think that illegals can actually SUE them here in the USA. Only in America!

I don't blame Wendy's ,I blame our non enforcement,of
laws by the Justice Department.
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property.
The fact that Wendy's did not honor their part of the hiring agreement to theses illegal immigrants,is typical of some company's disregard for anyone..Why were they hiring illegals in the first place?
I have never understood the square hamburger thing myself,and I never eat there any way.

What kind of lawyer is going to represent someone who has no legal status? I hope INS shows up a rounds up all his clients on their way into the courthouse.
Will I boycott Wendy's? Nah, I don't eat that crap in the first place. I haven't darkened their door in at least fourteen years anyway.

{"I put all my hope and faith in this company," said Daniel Olivares, who worked for Cafe Express for nine years before being fired in September. "It was devastating news for me and my family." and "I'm not safe anymore," said Olivares, who has been in the country 14 years.}
Fourteen years this man has been here, and he never bothered to become a citizen legally. Now, he wants to sue his employer for not doing it for him!?
The whole thing is so bizarre that I just don't know what to say.
