Sorry just to let you guys know we did not get married for a visa we got married for love i have been with him for five years and the reason why we did not renew his status is due to a serious family problem between his parents who would not sign a paper!

Well I suggest that you seek legal advise. If you are legally married to him either in the UK or Jamaica, then something can be done in the UK without him leaving the country. He will be questioned as to why he overstayed, but this shouldn't be a problem. What I suggest is that you go and see a solicitor ASAP so that you can get his papers sorted out soon. I am a UK immigration officer I see cases like this often. Normally we look through peoples dossier and make a conclusion. Like your saying, if it is a genuine marriage, you have nothing to worry about.

Good luck with everything.

Go to Jamaica, then have him reapply at the British Embassy there. With you being a Brit Citizen, they will speed the application up. Quicker than doing it in London.

I have feeling immigration will be interested in you!! should have used your brains before committing so to save the stress get aboard the next plane due for Jamaica and you can live in a stress free life and you might like living in another country

What country are you in?

Don't listen to these people. Just consult an immigration lawyer, find out exactly what you have to do, and do it. Here (US) your spouse would become a citizen after a certain period of time, I think it's two years. Hopefully, it's the same in England. Good luck.

Yes Jamaica is the best place to sort this out.
Attempting to do so in London will likely lead to deportation which will prevent your partner from re-entering the country.

Good luck

marriage is built on trust and loyalty, honesty &respect both or one of you wase'nt think of your responsibility in this possible fraudulent marriage to get visa hope some attorney can help but deportation seems inevitable if ICE can prove faud then you should be prosecuted and the UK is no better for yoiu start packing and live out your dream in JAMAICA

Hang on doesn't that make him an illegal immigrant if he's overstayed here for 2 years? Not a good position to be in! Think you best come clean to authorities but i would prepare for the worst -him being sent back for good even if you are married! (Would mean nothing if he's been here illegally for 2 years......)

His parents don't need to sign any papers! What do you mean.
You shouldnt have over stayed your visa, especially for 2 years!
My husband and I are going to get his definate leave to remain on our 2 year anniversary - that's for sure.
He over stayed 2 days and they ask him at passport control about it every time he comes back to the UK.
Bad idea to over stay......

Oh, you poor, poor baby...

Your hubby overstays his visa two years and now you are trying to come across as the victims....

When ( not if ) ,sweet hubby is caught, he will be deported and will never be let into the country again....

You might as well start packing your bags too, because getting married is not going to be any factor as to his being able to stay...

Clear off! We have enough illegal immigrants here as it is! Either that or try to convince the authorities you husband is a Muslim - should be given a free house, car etc at the taxpayers expense. Also inform them that your husband is under threat in his home country....bingo, he can stay in Britain as long as he wants!
