Immigration - August 2006

As we all know, our ancestors brought unwilling african people to America. Now, they would never be treated like "immigrants". The Indians of course were here first, so why are they only given whatever the white people decide to give them?

Is this a racial thing? I'm serious, I think it's totally stupid. People from Mexico have been coming here for ages. No more I don't think now than in the past? Why the big deal now? Or is it something more sinister? Are "they" securing the borders to keep others out? Or to keep us in eventually? Of course after we get our microchipped passports, RFID cards, etc....

I really am wondering about how much of this all is propaganda, and how much is real, but not what they are really doing?

Okay heres my story, i got pregnant at 15 and me and the babys father stayed together, i am seventeen now and we are married, when he was 15 he got into trouble with the law from fleeing in a car. He's got a felony on his record and he is not from this country. Now we got a letter in march saying that he was to be deported. Without him me and our daughter will not be able to survive. We got married in april this year. We have seen a lawyer and everything. I just don't know what to do. I have heard that if we a re married they can't deport him, does that count if he has a felony though? Please if anybody can help me i would be very thankful.

them? I mean I havent heard of one illegal immigrant being tried by our Judicial system and being found "guilty", yet the employers are commiting a federal crime by defrauding the Federal Government and nothing is done? Since when has following human instinct been a crime?

...It just took forever for the cops to get there...So, Starbucks is not at fault-- besides, they won't hire without a SS# and birth certificate.*****

Just curious to see opinions:Over the next year or so there is a huge possibility that Castro will pass or be forced to give up his power. What do you think will happen to Cuba if/when this happens, will his children/supporters just take over? More importantly, what do you think will happen to the "revolution" that is taking place in Latin America today?

Why wont they build a wall between the U.S. and Canada?

Better yet why havent I heard them say " Imgoing to Iraq to secure the border against Iran and Syria to stop terrorist from coming in."

I have an old car, I sell it, and the person I sell it to fixes it up really nice. Several years later I decide I want the car back, and since it was mine in the first place I have a right to it, even if they did give me good money for it. So I break into the car and won't leave because it was mine in the first place.

Is that a good equivalent for what pro-illegal Mexicans are saying? Notice I said Mexican’s, I do realize there are other illegals in this country but none of them are claiming that we stole this land from them.

Speaking of supply and demand...

Is it possible if we contact the local I.N.S. and set up some type of deportation business...

I mean there is plentiful supply....

...and I'm sure there would be more than enough Americans willing to meet the demands of the American people...

Thus, with such a business, the illegals will have to pay up-- a mandatory fee for their deportation.

It may only last temporarly, but if we charged at least 150/ per person, 300 / per child, we could be billionairs!

Even if the illegals didn't have the money, they could conduct hard labor, building our border wall in order to get paid. We could charge them .45 cents an hour. Which is .30 cents more than most prisons!

That money that we use to deport will be the same money we pay the illegals to build our wall!! That's saving hella money!!

I think it'd be a great business!! What do you say?

A friend of mine came to the US a couple years ago from the Ukraine. She came as a student (a blessing really since she's going for her masters now) and has been trying to become a citizen since however, as well all know, it is very hard. I don't know of the details because I don't know too much about how to become a citizen, but she's mentioning something about a lottery to become a citizen. Can somebody please explain the process of applying for citizenship to me? And what is my friend considered if she's not a citizen yet but is allowed to be here and is going to school/working?
