In my town they built brand new apartments with MY tax dollars partly funding it.
These were fully furnished utilities included 3 bedroom apartments FREE to "migrant workers" and their families.
It didn't matter if you were illegal as long as you or ONE member living there was a migrant worker.

Look up article for April 2004.
They got this for free or up to $35.00 a month!
My own family couldn't qualify to live there after waiting 8 years for housing assistance but they could get it no problem.
You will also find my reply in this paper the following week.
The organizations and county commisioner that approved it said at the open forum they could do this because they had "allocated" the funds specifically for this project.
MY tax dollars helped fund this and we have no say in what they do with it?
I call it discrimination and said so very publicly.
I have a wonderful home I pay for and a great job now but at the time we were about to be homeless and all these hispanic people
YES they all were by the way, were moving into beautiful brand new homes!

I resent it and it still disgusts me.
I was actually turned down as a field worker because they would rather hire the "migrants".They are quicker and cheaper.
I have personally watched the russians and hungarians STEAL food off the counters at the local community help center.I have watched them get caught and kicked out.
I have been VERY PERSONALLY effected by them and feel I have a very legitimate complaint and reason to see them ALL gone.

Well, I personally didn't lose a job. But, I recently contracted out a major remodel. I was absolutely blowin' away that the sub's subs for insulation, dry wall, taping & masking went to illegals. None could speak a word of english. I was pissed and learned a lesson. Those were jobs that American's wanted and needed. I'll never let that happen again.

I have never lost a job to an illegal. My education insures that I will always have a job.

As a law abiding citizen I pay taxes that support these illegals when they come here. If they came here legally and were taxed just like me I would have no problem with them.

No but I've paid for their health care out of my taxes. Will they help me pay for mine now? I don't like free hand outs. That tax money can be invested in programs that help young struggling american citezens make better lives for them selves.

i get jobs in part thanks to illegal immigrants! i teach in schools where there are illegal immigrants, legal immigrants and citizens. because i speak spanish, i tend to get jobs with more latino immigrant children, which i prefer. latino families value education and respect teachers so much more than non-latino families.

by the way, for some of the people answering here, do some research on illegal immigrants and taxes! the majority do pay taxes, so please stop using the "spending my tax dollars" argument. they pay taxes and don't collect refunds, and most of them don't use the social services that their tax dollars pay for. that argument is such an ignorant generalization.

My mother was killed by an illegal, does that count as affecting my life? If he wasn't here illegally, my mother would still be alive.

I applied for a department chair position at Apple Computers a while back and didn't get the job. I don't have any extensive background that would really qualify me for that position, but those damn Mexicans always seem to get those really cool jobs, so why shouldn't they hire me? I was born here!

They don't have the sense or the education to take my job. You have to know and read English and you had to have extensive schooling.

And you should definitely respect Ricky's answer. I have heard many stories like that but I know you will twist it somehow. Illegals need to be out of our country! Enough is enough already. Oh, and .....

If you don't like that, leave. Just leave anyway.

You said illegals. Race didn't come into your question. I notice of couple of cakeboys were bitching about racist comments. Politically correct fairies like Bart S and Zarf.

I have been denied social services for help with my medication, while illegals get these services. Social services here in california are not for white people.
