This is a complete mystery. How is it that a government that is run by a ruling elite that repeatedly abuses the population can remain in power? How is it that people choose to be willfully ignorant and refuse to oppose tyrants.

We saw this in Nazi Germany, where most of the population did nothing, as well as in the Soviet Union, and even in the United States (where the government arsoned a religious community and has enslaved the people into its military into the past, besides wrongfully convicting millions of innocent people, and even engaging in torture).

Why do people permit governments, especially governments that engage in flagrant criminal acts, to remain in existence? Why do people permit governments to commit acts of murder against their own population or other countries?

Is it because people are too weak to oppose their government? Is that is not the case, then what is the cause of this phenomenon?

The main point i would like to make is that our government is not acting on the same principles established by our founding fathers. Sometimes i think about what George Washington, James Madison, and the rest of the great heroes who sacrificed their lives to make a great country for us today would think about us and our government.

In my eyes freedom of speech dosent exist anymore. The government will do anything to shut the people out rather than let the people have the voice the country. Please tell me what you think of America today and what we may have to suffer in the near future. If we continue to act as we do now America has 20 years at most until collapsing. How can we make America what it is meant to be.

I recently saw a news report about how in nyc the mayor is making a new welfare program, where kids would be paid to graduate from highschool, go to their annual doctor physicals go to dentist etc. This would be for low income familys, and the mayor claimed he is paying for all of it, so no tax dollars are used. I personaly think this a good idea, welfare is already givin to most low income familys for doing nothing, atleast with this program people would have to accomplish something before they get any money. If nothing else it would possibly motivate kids to stay in school and motivate parents to keep their kids in school. Also alot of kids in these areas of poverty are surrounded by negitive infulences such as gangs and drugs and their older siblings and parents allot of the time feel neglected by the system now the system is giving them a little bit back out of THEIR pocket not the tax payers, Remember these are just thoughts not neccesiarly my solid opinion so no need to insult me

Great Britain initiated universal health care sometime around 1947. Since then, most European countries have too. Does that make them care more about their citizens? Are they smarter & more progressive than we are?

I have to figure out whether or not some examples comply with the constitution and i have to find what article and section some they go under.
I've got most of them, but there's one I can't find which article and section it goes under.
In the directions it says it has to be in Article I, IV, or VI or Amendment X.
"Displeased with the US Postal Service, the state legislature of Nevada has passed a law creating the Nevada Postal Service."
I already know it doesn't comply with the Constitution, but for some reason I just can't find what section. Please help! Thanks.
Could it be Article 6, The Supremacy Clause?
If not, which do you think it is?

here's the constitution:

Universal Health Care for everyone no problem, we'll just (punish) erm I mean tax those nasty, selfish and greedly old Republicans and make them pay for it all. Well here's a question, why don't we hand the entire bill to the Ted Turner's, Oprah Winfrey's, Mr Sorros and Bill Gates of America? All 4 are Billionaires many times over and can afford to foot the entire bill themselves. All are rabidly liberal and wouldn't this help cast them in a more caring and positive light ? Or do we only want to punish erm I mean Tax those Republican billionaires and millionaires ?

Is China not providing enough fireworks in our rebel states to blow up the nation? I went from Florida to Chicago and on each highway was a major sign advertising fireworks. Was up with that? Today in Florida 3 kids made a coke bottle mix chemical bomb before getting on the bus and loud as heck... they were arrested. Dry ice bombs and do we not promote this violence?
WHY are state legislators allowing this? In Hawaii you need a permit, they are sold only during holidays and it is now regulated. Many of the states we drove thru suffered from severe drought.
SO what do our candidates think about that? And do you have
any ideas or thoughts?
(WE went Florida To North western Indiana) 75 most of the way.

The office psychopath can if he so chooses call off all the system integrator work.
Can then argue that we don't need our inhouse people because they didn't do anything.
This might increase the office psychopath's stranglehold on the organisation.
You might come back in 5,10,15, or 20 years, and find the office psychopath still on the job.

Is the system in the US, if it's truly a government by and for the people etc a bit antiquated? In centuries past it was necessary to send delgates to a central location, D.C., so that the elected could speak and vote for the people. In this day, however, communication is instantaneous. Practically anyone with access to a computer could vote on issues for themselves. Are the issues that complex that we need full-time representatives? They have after all, put the cooutnry some 7 trillion dollars in debt, continue the Iraq fiasco and on.
Any ideas?
