No - medical programs like those in Europe and Canada are not perfect, but they do provide affordable care for all citizens.

Ans since when are the large insurance companies any better than the post office? You pay in a lot more than citizens of Canada or Europe and you get less - you then get a letter saying you are not covered for your orchidectomy and you go bankrupt.

Anything that will end up looking like the care given in England or Canada just doesn't appeal to me. Hillarycare will be Socialistcare - it involves the government at every step of the process. I don't know about you but I don't want our government - that never made a social program work right yet - getting involved in my health care.

And Romney today just repudiated the Hillarycare proposal. It's in the news. He knows the deal.

What ever happened to actually EARNING something? What ever became of the DNC who followed the ideology of "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?"
Her last great attempt at lowering the cost of healthcare was to turn the decision making process of your healthcare over to the insurance companies -- taking it away from the physician who is treating you. Called it "HMO." So, now she wants to make it mandatory that all citizens carry healthcare insurance? Notice how this too involves the insurance companies? Hmmm. I'm suspicious of who is funding her. As a member in good standing with the AMA, I know that WE are against it/her.
So, she gets her way and it becomes law. You get caught without insurance -- say you couldn't get it due to a pre-existing condition or it was just too expensive. What is she going to do to enforce it? Throw you in prison? Back to the days of debtors prison we go!
It's simple really. Pay attention in school. Get reasonably good grades and then go on to college. Get a job, get a pel grant, bust your butt. Do what you must. But get an education so you can then get a better paying job so that you can then afford healthcare insurance.

I think the same thing about it this time as I did when she proposed 1.0 a decade ago - that it belongs in the shredder.

I can already feel her slimy fingers creeping towards my wallet and I want to smack her hands away. Even worse, she's going to make the insurance companies even richer, by forcing those who don't want insurance to purchase some. It will also be required to have upon admittance to an ER. Gone are the days where any hospital will see you, regardless of your ability to pay. Gone are the days where we had choices and freedom.

She seems to have learned from her earlier fiasco. There might be unacceptable components once the details started being put together, but what was outlined in her speech was pretty modest and would leave private insurance in somewhat better shape than it's in for most people now!

The neocons don't seem to realize Hillary's proposal is modeled on Romney's program in Massachusetts. Which they loudly defended when liberals pointed out some problems with it (which Hillary's plan addresses in part).

Now they want to discredit the same plan because its a Democrat proposing it.

Sorry, but you don'tget to have yor cake and eat it too.

"If you've seen the reports this morning on the latest version of Hillarycare, you'll see that version 2.0 is not likely to have any more success than 1.0," just like Clinton's 1994 failed attempt at universal health care.

"Also remember this: If Hillary plan is passed, and you apply for a job, you will not be hired (it will be the law), if you do not already have healtcare." Her healtcare will NOT be controlled by the private sector. Wake up people, we need to stop this, her plan is Government control, plan and simple, that is her hidden agenda, in her plan.

Clinton's proposal, estimated to cost about $110 billion a year, would provide coverage for 47 million uninsured Americans through federal subsidies and tax hikes by rolling back some of President Bush's tax cuts.
You can bet that at least 30 million of them people will be guess who.... illegals.

"what Americans need most are reforms that cut down on the price of insurance, but Senator Clinton's approach is going to do exactly the opposite."

Hillary manipulating the public with the slogan
"We're doing it for the children"
Right now a person without insurance are money can go into a ER and that hospital has to see them treat them and do what is necessary for a person. In Hillary's healthcare plan, your forced to enroll, or you WILL NOT be treated , not matter how sick you are or even if your in a accident. Socialism at its best, HRC.
Now she is trying again, and taxes will go up, and that 47 million unensured, probably includes at least 30 million illegals.
In 1994, HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton) set out to redesign the American health-care system and convened a panel that drafted its plan secretly-in violation of federal law...The plan prescribed some eye-popping maximum fines:

$5,000 for refusing to join the government-mandated health plan, you will have to pay this if you refuse the plan.

$5,000 for failing to pay the premiums on time, if for some reason you miss a payment or late payment.

15 years to doctors who received "anything of value" in exchange for helping patients short-circuit the bureaucracy, doctors can not treat or help anyone not in the plan.

$10,000 a day for faulty physician paperwork, doctors fined if one little i , is not dotted.

$50,000 for unauthorized patient treatment, doctors will be fined per patient, think he will treat you , and put himself in a place to pay a fine like that.

$100,000 a day for drug companies that messed up federal filings, you noticed HRC said " federal filing"

When told the plan could bankrupt small businesses, Mrs. Clinton sighed, "I can't be responsible for every undercapitalized small business in America." When a woman complained that she didn't want to get shoved into a plan not of her choosing, the first lady lectured, "It's time to put the common good, the national interest, ahead of individuals."

As for privacy, forget it: Her plan would have required people to carry national identification cards that embedded confidential patient information on computer chips.

Now consider further this: Hillary at that time ,was never elected to any office of public trust and never has been elected to any office in her life!

"Hillary has, in effect, told a federal judge that, frankly my dear, I'm too important to testify in your little old courtroom. Fighting a subpoena by Judicial Watch in a $90 million lawsuit on behalf of GOP officials and others whose FBI files were abused by the Clinton White House, HRC, in her brief, declares that "as a general proposition, high-ranking government officials(which I guess she thought she was in her own mind ) are not subject to depositions" and she shouldn't have to testify so she can "have time to dedicated to the performance of [her] government functions." One problem: Mrs. Clinton was not a government official at that time. She is, however, a defendant in the suit."

Who the heck does this crazy woman think she was then! other than JUST a first lady, and even the word lady is a big question.

HRC healthcare plan could end up costing more a month than your house payment.

She was the force behind the theft of the FBI files and the purchase and installation of the "Big Brother" computer system ($1.5 million taxpayer dollars). The computer was illegally used to store the names of literally hundreds of thousands of donors to the Democratic Party. It stored all their statistics including the names of all the family members, how much they contributed, and even personal banking information! The Funds that Bill Clinton raised were then used illegally for the "soft" money that is hard to trace to elect himself and other Democrats by paying for advertising and other campaign expenses.
