Given that the act declares any federal taxes illegal, and that the act cannot ever be changed by the canadian federal government only by a referundum, which has never taken place. How does the federal government get away with things such as federal income tax, gst and import duties?...

I am not even sure if the term welfare is considered "politically correct". If there is a more accepted term for it these days? Is it the same as government assistance? Thank you in advance for answers to any or all of my questions.

i think so, mccain & his gang of five i think they were called were constantly blocking bush from getting things done. from immigration reform to tax cuts. the really ironic thing is the dem's supported bush on many of these measures but it was mcain & his five that kept blocking the votes. funny isn't it pelosi is now saying the dem's have all these plans & they are the very same ones bush was pushing & couldn't get through because of mccain and his group now that the dem's have control of the house and senate they will push and vote these very popular with the ppl reforms through & make it look like it was their ideas all along....brilliant strategy working with mccain & his gang but the dem's have always been good at political strategy. the rep's just think by doing the right thing & not confronting them is the best way. its not you have to confront dishonesty and deceit. mccain is nothing but a fox in the hen house & no more a rep than howard dean, he just hides it better.
