Gridlock, albeit slightly more centrist ideas, maybe will leave Iraq before I'm a grandfather. Lieberman is an independent and has sided with republicans before so what makes anyone think the senate is owned by the democrats.

Criminals being set free, taxes being raised, larger government, less spending on our national defense, an agenda pushing evolution and abortion onto our children, along with embryonic stem cell research, which has yet to cure any disease in any test on any organism, being pushed over adult stem cell research, which has already been used to cure and help treat countless diseases and ailments. Basicly all of the really bad parts of the bible.
Luckily, George W. can veto all of your insane ideas and you Libs still don't have enough to get the 2/3rds vote to overturn it.
Anyone else find it funny that this was one of the smallest out of office party congressional pickups for any party since the civil war and the democrats are hailing it as the biggest win ever. You didn't get half of what you should've statistically speaking.
Of course, they are the Libs so we should expect this.

its politics...politicians usually always say what their plan is..but rarely follow through...democrats said what they needed to say in order to get elected..but they will not follow through on anything...things will remain the same, though probably more compromises will occur..bush will not constantly get vetoed because he will now push bills through that will have a greater chance to get passed..he is not a moron, he will not bring bills up that he knows will get vetoed and make him look bad...we are still fighting the war on terror..whether a democrat or republican is in charge..lets just hope democrats dont try to pull troops too rapidly leading us to total loss in iraq and, by doing this, stepping all over the soldiers who passed away fighting for a battle a good portion of them believed in

Lots of interesting answers here.
I would add, a national health care plan. An end of tax cuts for the wealthy, more incentives for alternate energy like ethanol and solar power. And, prices kept low at the gas pumps, that is what I hope to get.

the dems will probably try to impeach Bush as revenge for Clinton getting impeached. Good luck to the hard working people of America not getting screwed out of more of their hard earned money to be given to people who want handouts.
