If England is a country, and it is part of Great Britain and the UK, then what terms do you use for what Great Britain and the UK are? Bigger than countries?? Smaller than continents??
What would you call each one or both? Or is it that the UK is a country and England is a province?

With the 54000 dead and another 14000 missing or so, and what we know now. Would we do it again? We were told we were stopping the threat of spreading communism and the evil anti freedom communist!

The UK has no constitution. Let's write one.

The entire consitution has to fit on one side of A4 paper, so we need short, punchy items to put in it.

What would you put there?

The world. With thousands of cultures, ethnicities, religions, races.,etc. 193 countries worldwide; entire population 6 billion people and counting,
We have a president who is attempting to bring "democracy" to Iraq and eventually other countries But maybe it wasn't exactly meant to be that way. We remember the Tower of Babel where God struck people with different languages so they could not communicate with each other.( I don't know if this was true & in a way it seems rather a myth,) Leasttwise. who is to say that "democracy" is meant for EVERY one of these six billion people inhabiting this world of ours.(minus "existing democracies")
You say there is nothing better. But how do we know this? We live in a 'democracy;' we are educated and intelligent(some of us anyway) and yet it is a monumental task just keeping our OWN problems under check.
I am suggesting that a democracy" for one group may appear to be a means to "control' for other groups. "

I have a friend I wrote to many years ago. Who is scheduled to be executed. I wrote as soon as I heard. I urge you to contact the governer. I ask you to go to tdcj ( texas dept of criminal justice) look over his case, google his name, case, and see if you too dont see a injustice. I live in seattle and the Green river Killer just got life and this young man whos been in jail since 17-18 one body gets death. I think life no parole or what ever would be more like it. I am not totally against the death penalty, or for it. I am just not for it as it stands now, and thats for sure. I am against the executing of kids( and I mean young adults too 0-22) young peoples brains are way too complex, and menatally insane. Plus why make deals for some and not others. I mean why killl him but not Gary Ridgeway, or countless other killers who should of got the same deal. What message is that. I am curious what you think. Please look up the case, ACT. If you feel the need. Look up the case and think!!!
