Also does it not validate the wire taps that are used to intercept American calls to suspected AQ phone numbers?

Or should we have waited until they succeed in blowing up a Federal building in Miami and the Sears Tower in Chicago and then prosecute them?

I know this is a Republic but why are some things like bond issues voted for and other things like raising the tax on gas just done without a vote. In Omaha Nebraska the city council decided that almost all buisnesses will be smoke free. Is this something that should be on the next ballot? Seems to me this should be the buisnesses choice.
My main question is in the US what kind of things are up for a vote and what is just decided?

Since Marriage orginated from religion, why should any marriage mean anything to the government? I think it should be called a Civil Union, wether it is between a man and a woman, or man and man, or woman and woman. Wouldn't that eliminate the argument? If a man and woman wanted to get married, they could still go to their church and get married, but there would be a separate document involving the state, that would be a 'civil union document'. If two men wanted to get married, they would have to find a church willing to do so, but it wouldn't matter, because they could go to the courthouse and get a 'civil union' anyway. This would keep from offending christians and other religious people, because you would still only be able to get "married" if you are man and woman, yet it wouldn't really mean anything outside of church, just like a batism or confirmation. Yet gays could have a civil union, and obtain the same rights as what is now a marriage. Does anybody agree?

Who cares if a woman wants to sell her body. I personally wouldn't do such an act but all this drama with prostitution is leading to wealthy pimps and pimpettes. If the government would stay out of petty business such as prostitution and worry about our public school system, high taxes and this darn war with Iraq which is making gas prices soar, we would be a lot better off.

First of all when you vote you are not voting for the president. You're voting for the electoral college. This is why presidents get elected without the popular vote. It is in the constution. Why does everybody believe otherwise? You should know your own laws.

Why is it that alot of young americans have such strong views against George W. Bush? Do you guys realize that every American President has had a skirmish of some kind? Clinton had Iraq and Kosovo. Bush (no.1) had Iraq. Reagan had Niqurauga and so on. This war in Iraq is nothing new... We are all Americans and should be uniting not fighting about our government. That is what makes our country so great is our freedom. Don't hate our president. We vote for him so it's a choice that we all have. And a Question for all arabs living outside of the U.S. Why do you always think that we hate you and that we're against Islam? Most Americans never hated any Arabs until 9-11. And as far as being in a war against Islam that is a crock. We are a country based on a freedom of religion. We have every religion you can think of here. Is that why so many extremeists hate us? because we are free to choose our religion? I offer all haters of U.S. beliefs to come here and witness us. We are caring people!!

Now when I ask this before you go off blerting out answers I'm a Christian and I don't think it's fair that we can't say a prayer in school if we want to. I feel the government should make it optional and if the athiust don't like it they don't have to be around it but stopping the majority of students from doing what they believe in is crazy. Now America was founded as being the land of compromise. I think this issue should also be compromised by making it optional. and student led. I feel teachers and admins need to keep a neutral ground because we all know if you put decisions in the hand of a small majority they will get there agenda passed(current Bush Administration) without considering how it would effect everyone else.

WHERE can I find information pertaining to statistics in the U.S., say, for the last 10 years, about male and female sex offenders?

As in, I want to know how many rapes were reportedly committed by females, as well as how many rapes reportedly commited by males.

If you have the statistics, please share! Thank you.
