As everyone has said, the crack down or changes in policy are dealing with illegal immigrants. There is nothing wrong with someone wanting to come into the country and make a living. Where the problem lies is that most illegal work leads to income without taxes being paid into the government.
There are plenty of people that are willing to work for the wages, but if a company can keep a lot of that stuff off the books and can pay people less than minimum wage, then that is a limiting factor. I am all for a raise in the minimum wage and paying you what you are worth to do that job.
What I am against is providing benefits to people that have not taken the steps to gain citizenship here. Once you cross the border and take up residence you are not entitled to anything by simply making it into the country.

Okay, so here's the deal: most people are not against letting hispanics come in to this country, LEGALLY.
The reason that we can't just let people in all 'willy-nilly' is because there would be no way that we could regulate the type of people that are coming in: rapists, murderers, drug dealers ( if we dont have an actual "system" how would we keep track of people?). Another reason is that it would be prejudiced of our country to allow only Hispanics in and not other people from other countries (china, vietnam, canada, cuba, haiti, etc.), where would we stop.
Once more, how would we keep track of the number of people in this country? We would become an overpopulated land and things would just get way too congested and crowded.
Also, to address the issue of jobs; if you were the CEO of a company, would it be beneficial for you to hire people for more money or less money? What about insurance, would it cost your company more money or less money to cover your employees with medical, dental and vision insurance?
Obviously the answer to all of these questions is that as a CEO, the way that your company would gain the most profit by decreasing all/as much of these expenses, right?- Right. So if I can find workers that will ultimately make more profits for my business, I will hire them as opposed to another person that I would have to pay higher wages, and benefits to.
So actually, it is not that other people WON'T do certain jobs, but rather that they can't because of immagrants that come in and make it immpossible for someone looking for a decent salary. You can bet that if there were NO illegal immagrants- EVERY single job that needed to get done, would get done!
So again I say if you want to come into this country, come on in! Just do it right it do it legalally!!!

There is nothing wrong with letting other people come into this country, whatever nationality they are or the color should not matter. We are all immigrants. I think the only true American is the Indians. However, there is a legal way to get here and an illegal way. Why can't people get this! Do it the legal way then you don't have to worry about being deported. The gov't needs to come up with a plan. But don't count on ours doing to good they really don't care. Because the know what they say goes!

BLA BLA BLA....Legal my a**. The whole problem is not about Mexicans, or hispanics or whatever word you would like to use. And get off your high horse, your ANCESSTORS were forced into this country, not you, so you don't have any room to complain about living here now. And no one is forcing you to stay honey. The problem with immigration is the damn terrorist are coming in from Mexico because they know we don't have adequate protection on that border. I do not have a problem with the mexicans coming here to work, because you are right, they do all the jobs we won't, like working in the fields. My problem is if they are going to be here to work, then they need to buy their own food and medical care with that money they are making. No more govt. housing for someone who is not even a citizen, we have our own homeless population to worry about. I pay for my own ****, and no, its not easy, but I do it. I am a single parent with two kids and two jobs and I make it work, with out relying on the government or anyone else to pay my rent or buy my groceries. If you can't afford the kids you have, stop having them, simple as that. I live in deep south texas, i see this on a daily basis and know how it works. There should be no tolerance. If they want to come, fine, run a background check, if not a criminal let them in but they must have gotten a job within two weeks or out they go. If they want to eat while their here, better bring along some beans and tortillas because its gonna be a long two weeks. We are not going to support every down on his luck refugee. It seems harsh, but we as a country have got to stop being such pansys if we want to change things.

When Mexico gives out citizenship and driver's licenses as easy as the United States does and would allow me to own land, then I would consider keeping a few illegal aliens. It's only immigration if it's legal by the way. My mother is an immigrant to this country from Europe and her family had to work and struggle to earn the right to come here. The president of their country didn't take the pussy way out and hand them a map on how to evade border patrols(al a Vincente Fox)

Migration and immigrants were part of the earth's larger ecosystem. Migration is a natural process of living beings, borders are not. U.S. jobs and businesses have gone in millions to the countries who's people we don't see here that much, so don't cry about "minimum wage" job lost. Then there is plenty of food and land here to go around. The number of poor immigrants we see are not going to make even a dent or blip on the whole economy. Corporations moving overseas will. Nations who raised high borders in history are only traced by the ruins they have left behind them. Be brave America!

China would not formally very own us. Sorry, yet it particularly is a lie. a important sort of the debt is owned by utilising ourselves. additionally, have you ever no longer seen that very nearly each financial or jobs report is constructive? specific, it is incremental, and we at the instant are not the place we would desire to be, yet don't be cheating. whilst Obama took place of work the value selection annual deficit became at 10% GDP, it particularly is all the way down to around 4% and envisioned to be 2% by utilising 2015 (Obama nonetheless in place of work). it is in comparison to issues don't get greater useful. Or do you purely choose issues to stay undesirable in hopes to make Obama look undesirable? What does it accomplish? i might choose the country to be victorious no count which political occasion the president pals with.

as long as they come legally, no problem.
the problem is with people who come here illegally, and drive down the wages everyone else gets paid. Also, the companies that hire illegals should be fined heavily.

There is nothing wrong with it. The government is still letting people immigrate here. Look up the work ILLEGAL...that is what most people are against, not immigration itself!
