Clinton ignored the wishes of the working class and now there seems to be no way for the Democrats to regain control of any part of the Government.

The Republicnas are in rough shape, but thier greatest asset is that the Democrats are bumbling fools who are in even WORSE shape, because in 1993 they cose to be Republicans in drag.

After the hatred punk rockers suffered back in '77, we ended up destroying society for the better by growing older and wiser. If only those idiots who took the mickey then had realised that we had the brains to control the media (OK, we only do ITV and Big Brother as a joke!). Now we're basically in control of the Daily Mirror, The Guardian, BBC2 & 3, Channel 4 and in partial control of The Sun, Star, Sport, Independent and even - more partially - The Daily Mail. Just look at how many times the Pistols get mentioned in the tabloids now. About once a fortnight! 28 years after they split. No-one gives a damn about the clergy or what the monarchy have to think. Parliament has its hands tied and the aristocracy and upper class are just a bunch of wankers in their own sad little world of etiquette - the epitome of politeness, they say, but they're soon rude about one little mistake, which makes them the epitome of rudeness.

There are a couple of basic rules in writing. One should just say what they have to say in a brief and coherent manner, and one should realize that you lose your reader when you ramble on and on.

Why do people write 7 paragraphs when 3 sentences would do just fine?

Lord Falconer's proposed speech about the victims' advocate scheme - the Americans have had this for years! Tony Blair states that there is a growing gap between the Criminal Justice System and what the public expects - whose fault is that - the Government make the Laws and are responsible for their implementation.

people always want to take the words "god" and tear down crosses. i don't think theres one thing that christianity teaches thats a bad habit.a memorial to our heroes in san francisco will be destroyed, because an atheist did'nt like the cross on it. some sleezbag lawyer, which i mean in all the offense i can, sued the city for it. they won the case. changed Christmas in to Winter. Do people really think crosses and holidays of giving are bad things!? thats a load of bs if you think that. i'm serious, its a big issue in america.

Why would the New York Times release a story about a intelligence gathering system that collects information that is not constitutionally protected and with no reports of abuse to date? All they have done is damaged another tool in our governments arsenal and weakened our security abilities. This project was bigger than any one person or pollitics. Agree or disagree?

...The journalist went on to remark that even in the homeland of Bush’s staunchest ally, Britain’s Tony Blair, a majority of the public was opposed to US policy. “Why have you failed?” he bluntly asked Bush.

Accustomed to the pliant US media, Bush was plainly taken aback by the pointed question. He retorted that, unlike other countries, “We are a transparent democracy.” He then elaborated on his conception of “transparent democracy” as one in which political leaders pay no heed to popular sentiment. “I do not govern by opinion polls,” he said. “I just do what I think is right... I am going to act according to my beliefs. I am the president of the United States.”
