Do you know what a critical thinking is?
You need critical thinking to be able to run things right and to able to see all the wrights and wrongs that happen so that you can see what works and what needs to be worked on.
If you would have an airplane and shine it's body all the time but never check whether everything is all-right with all it's technical components, that wouldn't be very wise, would it now?

In this country we have such things as:

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
RIGHT TO VOTE
FREEDOM OF SPEECH
FREEDOM OF RELIGION
FREEDOM OF PRESS

and more...

And those are things that allow us to be FREE THINKERS. They allow us to SPEAK OUR MINDS and EXPRESS IT IF WE ARE UNHAPPY ABOUT SOMETHING.

We can IMPEACH OUR PRESIDENTS if we figure they've done something seriously wrong.

All those things allow people to feel more free and not feel like their living in a jail, outside of a cage that they can be thrown into at any time.

And, anyway, any institution or an authority that can not be criticized or checked upon can do a lot of wrongs without anyone being able to do anything about it and that is not good. Now is it?

You don't seem to want people to be able to criticize their own country or things that go on here.
You would like them to leave. Well, you sound like a TYRANT.
Freely expressing if you're not happy about things is a part of a DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM.

I don't hate our Country and I don't hate our troops. I am just not pleased with the job our current administration is doing and I do have the freedom to say that. All I am doing is responding to the questions that are asked. Ask me what I think and I'll tell you. If you don't like my opinion, sorry but I am not going to change to accomodate you or anyone else in here. Speaking of talking to feel better about yourself, it sounds as if that is what you are doing with this, I guess, question though I would call it a rant.

Most Americans don't hate their country. However, the percentage of Americans who fear and hate their government is growing.

Not fast enough, unfortunately--there are still millions of sheeple who as of yet do not realize, understand, or believe the degree to which they've been lied to, manipulated, disenfranchised, or stripped of rights that we the people are taught from childhood are ours under the Constitution. The freedoms we are taught are ours by birthright as Americans have become little more than pretty words on paper.

The reality is frightening--our government, the officials that we the citizens elect to represent the interests of all Americans, have, over the course of many decades, enacted legislation, policies, amendments, and laws that have pushed our country to the very brink of becoming a total police state. People who don't see this are those who are either too lazy to pay attention (easier to let someone else do their thinking for 'em) to what's going on in the world around them past their own backyard or city limits, willfully ignorant (cuz, our government just wouldn't do that.....) or they're retarded to the point of idiocy. Americans truly are the most lied-to people on the planet. As far as the Federal Government is concerned, we'll believe just about anything if it's repeated often enough, even in the face of glaring contradictions. This is especially true now, since the government has steadily, over the course of several decades, deliberately dumbed-down the educational standards of our public schools. Dumber citizens are easier for greedy governments to control, manipulate, cheat, steal from, indenture, and lie to.

I've come to realize, through my limited (but not insubstantial) research into politics and the US Government from it's inception until now (and still, the research I have done in the last year is not even a ripple in the water over the tip of the iceberg) that governmental corruption is not relegated to "isolated" instances or superficial layers. The Federal Government of America is deeply, irrevocably, undeniably, and irretrievably corrupt. It really is as bad as you or I or all of us together could ever have possibly have imagined, and all those "crazy" militia groups out there are completely justified in their paranoia.

Our Constitutional, garaunteed rights as American citizens have been legislated right out from under our noses, and most people didn't even notice. Those of us who have caught on are good and pissed. So if Americans seem to be bashing their country, read between the lines--more likely than not, that person is not Anti-American, but Anti-Government.

I truly appreciate and believe in the principles my country was founded on. I love the diversity and differences that Americans, as a people, have traditionally so easily and willingly embraced. I love the fact that this is a country founded by convicts, religious dissidents, undesirables, intellectuals, radicals, and underdogs who got tired of being subjugated by bullies, fought ferociously against their oppressors, and against the odds, won. And I especially love the idea of a government for the people, by the people......the way ours was intended to be. What we have ended up with is a government more akin to the one Hitler created than the one our founding fathers had in mind.........take a little time to study and compare the two.....it's enough to keep you awake at night--the similarities are clear and easily spotted.

We the citizens don't run the government and haven't for many, many years. It runs us, and it's out of our control.

You are wrong-we don't hate our country! In our government system, the people have a right and a responsibility to speak up when they think that the government is heading down the wrong path. Although we have made many mistakes, we are still free in this country to openly disagree with our leaders without being imprisoned or shot. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

As an American woman I LOVE this country! I say LOVE it or LEAVE it! But we still do have freedom of speech you know, so we have the right to say what we want about our Country, it is when others put it down we get mad.

You have a lot of infadels on here, like iranians, iraqi's, and people like that pretending to be American, when they aren't killing their own children in the name of their god, trying to make Americans look bad. Most Al-qaeda, Taliban, and Al-Jazeera watchers are devil worshippers-what can you do?
