Also does it not validate the wire taps that are used to intercept American calls to suspected AQ phone numbers?

Or should we have waited until they succeed in blowing up a Federal building in Miami and the Sears Tower in Chicago and then prosecute them?

If the liberals had their way....we would be sitting in an exploded country.....with smoke pouring out toward the oceans...and the ACLU proudly breast beating...because no civil liberties were sacraficed in the process....

They didn't use wire taps in finding out any information. It all came from a paid informant. Unfortunately, it looks like the informant may have initiated the idea about blowing up buildings so the case can be thrown out because it is entrapment.
By the way, no one has said to ban wire taps, the argument is to ban wire taps done without court approval, which is always given, so theres no reason to do it without the warrants.

The 7 terrorists were caught as a result of their group being infiltrated. That would still have happened with or without the patriot act.

By your logic, if they had succeeded in bombing the Sears Tower that have made the act useless....

In my opinion, if you have nothing to hide, you have no reason to freak out over the government listening in on your calls, and monitoring you. I'm not planning to blow anything up, so they can feel welcome to listen to me. And yes it does validate it. Every time these fools plan an attack, I hope we're there to stop them, to crush their dreams of death and glory.

You're absolutely right. Of course I'm a conservative though and have supported it all along. I doubt that any liberals will agree with us though and admit that they were wrong even though they know they were.
