Our paperwork has already been approved here in the u.s.a. and we recieved a letter saying that within a week our application would be sent to the embassy in china. We would like to have some idea on how long a wait we have now. We know she needs to be interviewed. Anyone that has been though this befor your comments would be so appriciated.

According to the treaty the nationals of signatory countries of which India is one, have equal rights of access for any purpose including the rights of residence. But the Norwegian Embassy refuses to issue transit visa for Oslo though the the place is accessable only through Oslo.Norway is given the control over the place according to the treaty on conditional that it should not prevent the signatory country nationals from entering. But the Embassy purposely does not allow any Indians to visit the place.Where can we appeal this matter?

My Chilean girlfriend is applying for J-! Visa (au pair). Will she have any visa problems because she has US boyfriend? Does immigration usually ask about boyfriends or people that the applicant knows in the US? Also, can anyone tell me the typical questions for this type of interview? All the question lists I find on the web relate to K-1 (marriage visas), but the J-1 questions should be considerably different.

My fiancee has hired a US atty to handle our case, I have asked him if the they emabassy will contact my kids father in the future, all he said was PROBABLY, I was hoping that he could give specific answer to that, so I consulted a local atty instead, and they said the embassy will not have to contact my kids father coz we are not married and he has no legal rights..my question is why is it the US atty has a diff view on the matter and that the local atty has one too, which is which I should believe???help pls....thank u

I want to become a foreign service officer. It seems soooo interesting. However, I'm not sure what a good major is(i'm a freshmen in college). I know that international relations is a good major; however, I was wondering if political science or history would be just as good or better?

Would a previous career as a flight attendant help my chances?
