Our paperwork has already been approved here in the u.s.a. and we recieved a letter saying that within a week our application would be sent to the embassy in china. We would like to have some idea on how long a wait we have now. We know she needs to be interviewed. Anyone that has been though this befor your comments would be so appriciated.

When the embassy gets it they'll send her a packet of information and a list of things she needs got get for the embassy. The packet will also direct her to an authorized hospital or clinic where she will have to undergo a complete physical examination.

When she's finished with everything in the packet she'll turn it all into the embassy. They'll process everything. After all the paperwork is finished they'll contact her for her interview.

You're looking at about 3 or 4 months.

The US Consulate in China often sends your fiance the information packet within 4-12 weeks. Remember that the US Consulate is closed on US and Chinese holidays, and they often close one or two Fridays a month because they conduct administrative work to try to put themselves updated with the many cases they have to work with.

Important: You must remember that you only have 90 days to get married in the USA and submit evidence of the marriage to the USCIS during the same 90 days period.

Congratulations on your soon to be wedding.
