Elections - December 2007

It seems if you give to charity all the time, adopt poor children, and try all you can to protect the environment... but you vote against the Welfare State... Liberals call you selfish and a bigot.
But if you have never given to charity, hoard all of your money, and never think twice about the environment... but you vote for the Democratic Welfare State... you are a charitable progressive and a truly good person.

He pulled in a committee to select the team of delegates and just listened in from time to time. Wasn't there but I just know. I have good instincts about such things. Now he just wants to beat it out of DC and get a back to the ranch. Bet he never looks as the tv news. wonder how he passes the time.

Would Giuliani really win if he was paired against Hillary Clinton.

Giuliani would loose the Christian right, one third of Republican Voters.
He would loose Democratic Voters.
He would loose Hispanic Voters
He would loose Black Voters
He would loose anyone else who do not believe in electing presidents who have had two affairs and have been married three times.

Would he still win?

Just out of curiosity...do you read papers, do research on all the candidates, use this site to figure out who you want to vote for?? Why are you on the elections site? Some of the answers on the elections page are rather narrow-minded and some are really thoughtful... Just curious who is actually on here.

The quotes below are from Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father";
Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

This is from "Audacity of Hope";
"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

From "Dreams";
"The emotion between the races could never be pure,” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart."

"There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. "A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white"

Just like the situation with his mistress he used tax payers money to provide protection for her. And not to mention his buddy who used the apartment deem for the 911 workers for his own personal use. How about not showing up for the 911 meetings where they had to asked him to leave. I heard he did not meet because it would have cut into his lucrative money he receives for giving speeches. Rudy has too much baggage to be president. I will love to hear your thoughts on this.

Edwards most publicized case was taking a 30% - 40% commission for a mega-jury award, involving a tragedy of a child- birth, as a result many, many women today, are forced to give birth by Cesarian method, since the medical community is over-whelmed by potential law suits, exccessive insurance cost for negligence and a feverish litigous environement.

Trial lawyers like Edwards, perpetuate the litigous environment
we live in and ensure that tort reform will never be addressed.

How can you complain about health care costs and support cretins and parasites like Edwards, believing only corporations are the fault of very issue?

Electing John Edwards as our President is as irresponisble as allowing the king of pop to babysit your young boy.

Is the partnership between socialists and trial lawyers simply not understood by liberals OR will our liberals admit they really don't care about health care costs if it means trial lawyers need to be restrained?

During the Clintons tenure, every time one of their scandals or crimes were publicized, Hillary conducted intensive photo-ops, using Chelsea as a human shield to deflect criticism for her wrong-doing, like stealing FBI files, travelgate, whitewater, selling pardons, ripping off WH property, selling "over nights" in the Lincoln bedroom, sending thugs to intimidate withesses and scare women who had been intimate with Bill, to hold their tongues, obstructing justice, withholding evidence- just to name a few.

Hillary proclaimed to the media, any probing about Chelsea is taboo, while Chelsea was under-age; now that Chelsea is closer to 30, should the media abide with their past policy if Hillary continues to use her as a shield?

PS As if Hillary were elected, the scandals and abuse of power would not be as intense, when she was the first lady....

Lower taxes for middle class families by: extending the middle class tax cuts including child tax credit and marriage penalty relief, offering new tax cuts for healthcare, college and retirement, and expanding the EITC and the child care tax credit.

Harness the power of innovation to create high wage jobs of the 21st Century. Investments in alternative energy can create new jobs for the 21st century; expanded access to broadband will bring opportunities to underserved and disadvantaged communities;

Healthcare insurance - If you have a plan you like, you keep it. If you want to change plans or aren't currently covered, you can choose from dozens of the same plans available to members of Congress, or you can opt into a public plan option like Medicare. And working families will get tax credits to help pay their premiums. Hillary would give tax credits to small businesses that provide health care to their workers... Insurance companies won't be able to deny you coverage or
