Do you want them to take both houses or just the senate or the house? I think that the Democratic party is the party we have to go with right now, so I hope that they can regain control of both houses.

How soon will a new PM be instated? Will there be any "lag-time" in between, and if so, who will be in charge during that period?

More specifically, I'm thinking about registering to vote, but I don't know which party to vote for. Please don't spam me w/ your votes, I'm not looking to see who you'll vote for but rather where I can go to learn about all parties and hopefully, get fair and unbiased information. My reason for not voting thus far has been that I didn't want to feel responsible if I had made the wrong decision. I think I can finally make a comfortable decision if I can really learn what each party or more specifically what each canidate stands for. This question is in regards to the presidancy mostly, but can be applied to any form of election (governor, senator, state rep, etc.)

We are now facing an unprecedented general election for Governor. A white female vs. a black man, neither of which Massachusetts has ever elected to this position. I am wonering, even though many people are tired of the republicans using our State House as a stepping stone to move on higher levels, will people vote against Deval Patrick because of racial prejudice? Or against Kerry Healy because of gender prejudice?

You are asked to show your drivers license to cash a check, get on a airplane, buy a car/home, etc. Showing a ID to prove who you are will keep 1) the dead from voting, 2) prevent people from voting twice, and 3) prevent people who are inelligible from voting (illegal immigrants, criminals, etc.). If the state provides the id at no charge, what is the issue with this?

A Georgia state judge ruled today that a new state law requiring voters to show photo ID is a violation of the state constitution. Are democrats afraid that if we have to show an id, they would lose every election because a lot of dead people are voting for them?

I think it is really "retarded" to leave an old election bumper sticker on your car. What is wrong with these people? Does their boss make them do it?

This week's USA Today/Gallup poll had the President's approval ratings at 44% with 51% saying they disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job. Minus seven.

That's up from 31% in May, with 65% disapproving. Minus 34!

Furthermore, when people were asked, "If the election for Congress were being held today which party's candidate would you vote for in your Congressional District?", the results were, Republican 48%; Democrat 48%. A Tie.

Given this shift in the numbers, given the the Republican Party has been far better at motivating voters in the last seven years, and given the Democrats' continued inability to articulate any sort of coherent platform, unwillingness to address issues of concern to mainstream Americans, and continued reliance on the "we hate Gerorge Bush" campaign strategy (which has cost them elections in 2002 and 2004), could the Democrats be looking at another humiliating defeat in the upcoming elections?
